Stay away

Between the heads cracking, plagued emissions equipment and the very likely to fail 10L1000 transmission, you're looking at 30k in repairs before the truck hits 100k miles. If you're very lucky it will happen within warranty, but GM will likely fight you on it.

Strong and Beautiful

This is by far the nicest, strongest, and highest quality vehicle we have ever owned. It pulls our 13000 lb 5th wheel like it is a toy. If I behave on the accelerator I can get 23 MPG highway and 15 MPG in the city which impressed me for such a big diesel truck. We had to wait 5 months for it to be made and delivered but it was well worth the wait. It is a long bed crew cab so I have to think ahead where I am going as tiny strip mall parking is a real bugger. We don't regret the long bed however because we have the 5th wheel hitch in the bed along with a toolbox / diesel transfer tank back there. It is nice to have room to have an extra 50 gallon tank along with us our trips.
