We are so grateful to the staff at Ray Skillman, especially our salesman Henry. Right after we started procedure to buy our car, my husband went into the hospital. They were so patient and supportive as I coordinated efforts to complete the deal. They even delivered our other car back to us that was in for repair. Many thanks!

DAMAGE CAR ON PARKING LOT
I brought my car in for a major repair on Aug 30th 2023. My has been in the custody of Ray Skillman Hyundai West for over a month. Ray Skillman West got their back gate broken into while my car has been in there custody and 6 other customers of theirs besides my car was damaged on their lot. I received a call from Ray Skillman telling me I need to call my insurance to report the damage of my car. Ray Skillman didn't express we will take care of your damages to my car nor we would take care of your Deductible. Nothing to make this issue right!! I bought cars from Ray Skillman before but i will not and won't by another thing from them again!! For anyone dealing with Ray Skillman Dealerships please understand that if your car is left there on their parking lots over night for any reasoning and it gets damaged by anything or anyone YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE. Ray Skillman I was told directly they don't carry insurance for incidents like this!!

Incredible Experience
WOW - after leaving another city Hyundai Dealership and having a terrible experience, I drove to Ray Skillman West Side and, with anger and frustration in my voice and on my face, I told my salesman, Austin, exactly what I was looking for. He listened to me, fetched his Manager and the two of them worked together to meet my expectations. THEY DID. They came in under my desired month payment with a trim UPGRADE! Then, Austin drove to Greenwood and back with the only car available through Ray Skillman so I could have a test drive! This was as close to a "no haggle" experience that is possible! Jeff, the manager understands customer service! They understand that word of mouth is of utmost importance in the car selling business. Honesty and true service to the customer was the focus to my experience. Because the car came from a different dealership they asked me to leave the car for a day to be gone over for excellence. They gave me a loaner car for the night (my trade-in had a bad transmission) to drive and when I showed up the next evening to pick up my new car....it was on the showroom floor with a big bow on the windshield! That, was classy! My experience with Austin and Jeff was great, but so was my experience with their finance guy, Brody! My Hyundai has a 100,000 mile/10 year warranty and I get 3 years of free maintenance with my 3 yr. lease. I literally couldn't have asked for a better experience and shame on the other dealership (Napleton Hyundai). Thanks guys and I can't wait to meet the service representatives when it's time for my first free Oil Chage and Tire Rotation! I'm greatful!

Disappointing customer service, no resolution of problem
I had terrible customer and technical service. I brought my 1-year old vehicle in for a warranty repair. While the problem was evidently complex to diagnose since the service department kept my vehicle for 5 weeks, I asked repeatedly to be provided with updates, but my requests were ignored. I have spent at least an hour each week on hold waiting for someone to pick up and provide an update to me. Each time I get through to speak to someone, the answer has been that the problem still isn't identified. Finally, after 5 weeks, I received a text message (not a call, of course) saying my car was ready to be picked up. Upon picking up my car, they told me that the issue with the car was due to a part that I was previously told (3 weeks prior) had been swapped out but was unsuccessful in fixing the problem. So five weeks with little to no communication and no clarity on the issue… then I get the vehicle home and the same day the exact same issue reemerged! After more than a month without my vehicle (with significant impact to my livelihood as a result), the problem remains. Throughout, it seemed like this issue was very low priority and it is incredibly frustrating to me that there was neither communication nor resolution of the issue after such a long period of time.

Used a lot of my time , problem still not working
In September I started having navigation problems, I called for service and was advised it would be November 17th for service,
I advised I would try another dealer which I did and that visit was horrible, still not working, called your facility again and was told to talk to Scott Patrick who sold me the car which I did , he asked me to bring the car over and he would to help,
I met him and we tried to fix it no luck, he went back to service and returned with a suggestion to try to update the software,
I had no luck and called Scott again and he was very kind and helpful in getting me an appointment on Dec 6th at 10am.
I got there early and I was worked right in, about an 1 hour or so I was told the car is fixed, I got in it and tried the system and it didn’t work, the tech was there with me, He went to discuss this with Hyundai and they advised to update the system , i told the advisor I couldn’t wait because of a medical appointment, we made a appointment for Dec12th at9am,
I arrived at about 8.40 am and was checked in, I went inside to wait and saw my car parked in the lot. At about 9,10 I went outside to see if it was my car and seeing it was I went in to asked the advisor how long before I get in, she said she would check as soon as she finished checking in another car,
About 9,20 she came out and advised my tech wasn’t there so they assigned it to another tech, I told her just forget it and bring my car back,
I waited at the island for the keys and after she talked to the service manager who was at another position that I waned my car he asked me “you don’t want us to work on your car, I told him I got there about 15minutes early for a 9am appointment and was told after waiting that that is a check in time only. So the advisor made me sign a paper saying I didn’t want my car fixed which I did

I called for an appointment and really needed one that day because I was going out of town- they got me in that afternoon- another dealership was booking two to three weeks out- Skillman was closer to me, so they suggested you.
