Don't Go Here For Service! They Will Just Lie To You, Waste Your Time, and Take Your Money
I've been coming to Genesis of Brunswick service department for years! Now that they changed ownership and staff, this place is horrible! It took the Service Advisor 45 minutes just to check in my vehicle for service because he was somewhere lally gagging instead of working! And it wasn't even busy that day! Then their so-called "package deal" on oil changes, oil filters, and tire rotations is a fraud because they never performed the tire rotation on my vehicle. A multi-point inspection was also allegedly included in this package free-of-charge but I guess you get what you pay for because they never bothered to tell me that both my brake and AC coolant was extremely dirty and was in dire need of a flush. I discovered that problem when I took my vehicle to a different Genesis dealership the following week. Next, I came in for 2 warranty claims for my steering wheel and for the peeling paint on my vehicle and the Service Advisor abruptly rescheduled those services to the following week because they were short-staffed (I had a Saturday appointment).

Lying, Thieves In Sales Department
I spoke with the Business Manager about purchasing a Genesis Extended Warranty for my Genesis GV80. Ironically, this Genesis Dealership does not sell Genesis Extended warranties! Instead, the Business Manager sold me a different warranty plan for a different vehicle (a Hyundai) then lied and said it's the same plan that is accepted at any Genesis dealership. However, I called 2 Genesis dealerships out-of-state and they both refused to take that Hyundai plan and urged me to buy a Genesis Extended warranty plan for my Genesis GV80. Luckily, the Hyundai plan provides full refunds for cancellations made within the first 60 days, so on day 5, I returned to Genesis of Brunswick and requested a full refund. The lying Business Manager gave me the runaround and first put the wrong amount of the refund on the cancellation form in his attempt to try and give me a partial refund. I demanded that he strike that amount off the cancellation form and add the full amount I paid for the Hyundai plan on the cancellation form. Then he lied and said he would submit my refund request to Accounting the next day but he never did so because I never got my money back! Then the lying Business Manager brought the Owner of Genesis of Brunswick into the office and the Owner sided with the Business Manager condoned the Business Manager's lies and deceit in selling the Hyundai plan to me!

Do Not Buy from Genesis of Brunswick!
I purchased a Genesis GV 70 from Genesis of Brunswick in New Jersey on July 1st 2023. I paid by check the full amount owed on that date. Fred Corea (908-309-6925), the salesman insisted that I do a personal survey for in front of him, on site, that day and also told me I'd be getting a survey from Genesis and that I should fill it out rating everything a 10. I did get that survey and provided ratings of nine or 10 in almost all categories except the financing experience where I felt my wife and I were blindsided and through fear tactics encouraged to purchase additional warranty coverage, ultimate titanium tire coverage and appearance/glazing coverage. After I completed the survey I was called by Fred Corea who was very upset that I did not follow his instructions and give all 10’s on the survey. I told him I was sorry that I gave an honest report, he said that was not an acceptable apology because in the Genesis world anything rated less than a 10 on the survey is considered a 0. He was also extremely agitated that I did not lie on the survey and state I was with the finance department 30 minutes or less. Instead I answered honestly that I was there between 30 and 60 minutes. His manager Nick (who refused to give me his last name), also called me that afternoon and also told me he was very upset that I did not complete the survey as instructed. As of two weeks ago, on a phone call with Nick, he I did confirm they got the license plate, which was part of Registration/title fees that I had paid for. Nick promised Fred would call me back within an hour with a date that I could have the appearance/glazing service done and pick up my new plate. Fred never did call me and the temporary plate they gave me expired on July 30th, so my new car has been sitting in my garage unable to be driven for the past 11 days. Because of the spiteful position they have taken, I have called Genesis North America on numerous occasions. They explained Genesis of Brunswick is also not returning their phone calls but they did ascertain that now, five weeks after I purchased this car, Brunswick says I owe an additional $50 due to an error in their calculation of Florida State sales tax, and that they will not release that play until it is paid. Genesis of North America also gave the name of a person in Brunswick’s finance department, Avlin (848-667-8922) who I should call and arrange for payment so I can get my plate and also have them schedule me for the appearance/glazing treatment, I have already paid for. Consistent with Genesis of Brunswick I only get Avlin's voicemail and she also does not return my calls. To date I have no correspondence from Brunswick regarding any outstanding bill and no way of paying it even if I did.

It is beyond understanding how I could purchase a car, I LOVE, pay 100% of the sticker price, and now find myself in a position that I would never considering purchasing a Genesis or Hyundai again!

Unacceptable to not have a standalone dealership
Genesis needs to separate itself from Hyundai. Unacceptable to be bringing your car to Hyundai for service. Don't just sell cars and forget about the consumer. The valet service promised when selling the car seems like a scam

3 hour oil change
In a competitive retail auto environment, it just seems like bad business to treat customers as they do. You are forced to register for service sitting in the disgusting garage which is not even safe. The service advisors do a fine job under the circumstances. They have everything going against them. Zero effort is made to make this experience pleasant and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Valet Service was terrible
Valet Service wasn't performed on the day promised, both pickup and delivery. I retrieved the car myself from the service center. I never had a problem with the service center at the dealership of my previous Genesis.

I do not have control over the health of a employee, and if they decide to stay home if they are sick.  Should we have had called you and rescheduled you, probably but with that situation and it happening that fast it would of been hard to do it correctly.  I'd be happy to discuss it with you so we can get this resolved. A DEALERSHIP WITH INTEGRITY AND PROFESSIONALISM
My purchase of the 2021 G90 was an excellent buying experience. I drove 73 miles from out-of-state to reach the Genesis of South Brunswick dealership in NJ and it was worth the effort. The negotiations were fair, balanced, and professionally conducted. In particular, my dealings with their sales representative, Ms. Kanishka Chauhan convinced me that I was doing business with a very capable team at Genesis of South Brunswick.
