Customer service is horrible at this dealership
We bought our Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid from this dealer in 2022. We’ve had some terrible experiences with the service here. Seems like everytime we have service done to our vehicle here something gets missed. For instance last month we requested new tires and a front end alignment amongst other services. Dropped the car off in the morning for service. My wife received a call in the afternoon informing her the work was done and it was ready to be picked up. We stopped by the dealership on our way home from work to pick it up. We paid the invoice and the service rep went to bring the vehicle up to the front door. As we made our way out to get in the car I noticed the tires were the same tires that were on there when we dropped it up. They were never changed nor was the frontend alignment work done. Brought this to the reps attention and he had to get the service manager involved. They ended up replacing the tires and driving it out to our workplace the next day. I’m happy they replaced the tires, but this whole experience was a huge inconvenience. This is not the only issue we’ve had. The current situation we are in is that we dropped tha car off last Wednesday for a Friday repair appt. We received an email confirming our appt for Friday. My wife has the Hyundai app that notifies you when someone opens the door. Well on Friday no one entered the vehicle to start the repair nor did we ever receive a call from the service rep. Today I reached out to the service department several times trying to get a status. Kept being told the rep would call me back. Not one time did we get a call back. My wife had to call in the late afternoon where she had to be firm with them to get an answer. Shouldn’t have to be this way. Shortly after her call we ended up receiving a return call from them with a status. I don’t understand what there service vehicle intake process is, but they really need to communicate with the customer. Going several days with no communication is very poor service. I’m starting to feel like we shouldn’t have bought a car from this dealership. Not a happy customer.

Steadily Declining Service Dept - Rude Service Manager
I purchased my Hyundai from Annapolis Hyundai and until now had been pleased with the service department. Called to get recall service performed and talked to rude service department manager who told me I couldn't get an appointment until December 30. Spoke to manager Mike Mayfield who promised to assist me in getting an appointment and never heard back from him. I can see it's time to go to another dealer and I will not be purchasing another vehicle from his dealership not making any future referrals. Previous encounters with Jacob were a pleasure and he was always very attentive and conscientious. He was tremedously over worked

Terrible Customer Service
I’ve done all of my business through the years at Hyundai from Annapolis. Service has always been a challenge but loyal to dealership until now. I made a 730 phone appointment 30 days in advance with a customer service rep. The rep assured it would take less than 30 min to complete the simple recall notice. Upon my 7:30 AM arrival time slot, the service department said their technicians don’t come to work until 8am. Because it was only a 30 minute fix, I decided to wait. At 9 AM I asked for an ETA and they said it could not be seen for at least another hour. I asked the rep for my keys back, declined to purchase the $365.00 key fob, drove to another dealership, told them what happened, waited 30 minutes and work was done. This is an obvious management issue and will not change. If your time is valuable, beware of Annapolis Hyundai.

Worst Dealership
If i could give 0 stars that would be more respectful for this situation. Mike Mayfield and his service team had my vehicle for TWO weeks AND were unable to fix it. Constantly directed me to go elsewhere because his team was not equipped to fix the issue. Even went as far as telling me nothing was wrong with the vehicle nor was the check engine light on. I went the same day after Rachel notified me that there was nothing wrong with my car nor was a check engine light on ... and lord and behold once I started the car the check engine light was on (video can be provided and Sabrina the Showroom coordinator confirmed it). I took the car to Bob Bell's Hyundai (Glen Burnie) and they were able to diagnose my car within 12 hours of having it (something that took Annapolis 2 weeks to do and still unable to diagnose it) AND repairing the issue within 48 hours, something Hyundai of Annapolis couldn't do. Also for there being no issue, Mike's team falsely called the police on me after video footage stating that he felt no threat from me or towards his team but understood my frustration as an upset customer. Mike Mayfield also reneged on his agreement to pay for the labor fee for my vehicle to be fixed (after stated several times via email and in person as well as video). I've also reached out to Hyundai corporate to try to get some kind of resolution from the inconvenience that has been caused and I understand why their stores are the way they are. They show their customers no empathy. Just like Mike did to get me out the way and bribe me with "paying my labor fees" , the corporate offered me $200 for my "inconvenience" which doesn't amount to the money I had to spend on rental due to not being able to get a loaner or even rental help. Overall, with this experience, I will NEVER do business with Mike and his team again. What for some, not for all. I appreciate Ryan and his team at Bob Bell and their fast speedy service to get myself and my family back on the road in a safe, reliable car.

Just got Fleeced for an oil change
Having purchased my Elantra in 2018 at Annapolis Hyundai, I have gotten my oil changed there ever since. Today I dropped it off as usual to get the oil changed and everyone was very nice. When it was finished and I came to pick it up I was presented with a bill for $110 and they used synthetic oil unlike before! Note my previous oil change was about half that amount. When I asked why so much the once nice lady replied with a chippy attitude that everything else is going up in price and so are their oil changes. Twice as much! When I asked why the synthetic oil I got the same demeanor while being told they use that for everything now.
Had the place still believed in customer service like they used to when Jacob was there, I would have been informed of the changes from the start and I would have thanked them for their time and changed my oil elsewhere or myself. There is no way in He!# I would have consented to paying this much for an oil change.
I understand prices go up but by not informing me that since my last oil change the price has doubled and that you now use synthetic, you pretty much fleeced me and then sent me on my way.
Real nice job Annapolis Hyundai treating once loyal customers with such poor regard. I don't know when you made the changes but a bit of consideration, being up front and a lot of good customer service go a long way. Something you need to re-learn!
