Love My Tuscon

This is my third Hyundai. My first was a Sonata, then a Santa Fe, and now a Tucson. I have loved all 3, but the Tucson I feel is the perfect size for me.

Constantly Back at the Dealer

I have been driving this car for 3 months and have been dealing with car issues multiple times. With plenty of A/C issues and also glitches on the screen.

Transmission and break pad issues

I am having issues when I make transmission changes with different gears and also on applying a hard break vehicles shivers and does not completely comes to stop as quickly as expected

Review on 2025 Hyundai Tucson

I bought this car knowing Hyundai's reputation. It drove very well during my test drive but comes with no CD, and way too much technology for my old brain. I do believe that new cars have this technology for the bad drivers out there. Well, I'm not one of them. I do read street signs, etc. HOWEVER, my real complaints are: The first week I drove it, the black back panel on the right of the back glass popped up and it would not stay when I popped it back. Apparently this is a known Kia complaint also, it's like the plastic was built too large and forced into the holes. Next thing was when I drove on the highway in PHX I could not get it to track straight and kept having to move the steering wheel side to side to get the car to stay in the lane. It was stressful and annoying - I also read this is an issue with this year's model. Then the seat was not comfortable after a week of sitting in it. It was too small for me and I could feel the metal underneath it. Not hardy enough. I compare this car to my beloved 2024 Nissan Murano. I was going to get rid of that but after driving the Tucson, I had to give that back to Hyundai and now I have to pay the residual due to the known issues on this car. I might have to roll it into my bankruptcy down the road. And one more thing, the auto turn off at stops is also really annoying keeping to have it turn back on. Every time you do that, the oil has to jump up to do its job.

2025 Tucson SEL

Very satisfied with overall driving. Engine is loud when accelerating on highway to pass or entering a highway. Happy with all safety features except the center steering wheel camera while using cruise control. I like to keep my right hand at top center of steering wheel. Alarm goes off. Can't turn off.

Lots of technology. Not for everyone.

I got the Tucson because I've been driving a 2011 Hyundai Genesis 4.6 for the last 13 years. I've put 140,000 miles on it and have loved every minute of it. And so, Hyundai then, became my go to brand. I love to drive (I used to run dirt tracks and learned to drive in the snow.) I know and understand that that is not the Tucson's personality, but still, I like to control the car. I feel like this car wants to control me. I feel like I always have to correct my steering. If I take my eyes off the road for a second to check my mirrors, I'm immediately off course. It starts beeping and a message pops up to consider taking a break. I'm always fighting to hold on to the steering wheel. I don't need to have a sports car to have fun diving. I've had lots of cars over the last 50 plus years (and I don't drive like a little old man) but if this is because technology doesn't trust me, then I need to get another car. Plenty of great pre-owned cars out there will make me much happier. And I plan to change ASAP.

Very Happy

Overall, I love my car. The ride is great, it’s very comfortable, and most of the features are very well thought out. The changes i would make would be the charging pad and the back hatch remote. The charging pad is too high and gets so much direct sun that my phone overheats. Also, when you close the back hatch with the remote you have to hold the button until it fully closes or else it stops which is annoying.
