This is my 3rd Hyundai. Some features change from previous years but not for the best. Light to indicate AC/heated seats are on is so dim, impossible to see in bright light or with sunglasses on

The only issue I have is the finger print scanner for the authorized user stopped working but the dealership is going to look into that.

A Frustrating Experience with the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

At first glance, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is a real head-turner. The exterior design is sharp and modern, the wheels are a great size, and the interior is truly impressive—ambient lighting, leather seats, a sleek cluster panel, and a great sound system. I have the Convenience trim, and visually, it feels like a luxury car. But once you start driving it, the issues become clear. The biggest problem? The drive quality and that overly sensitive forward collision system. I’m used to four-wheel-drive vehicles, and this one just doesn’t feel the same—especially disappointing since AWD should’ve been standard at this trim level. There are way too many trim options, which makes it hard to find a version that gives you everything without maxing out your budget. It's frustrating to feel like you have to buy the top-tier version just to get decent features. The forward collision system is what really ruined it for me. Just two weeks after getting the car, it locked up on me in traffic when the car in front of me made a U-turn. It didn't stop abruptly, but my Tucson braked hard and locked down, leaving me stuck—and I ended up getting rear-ended. To make it worse, the person who hit me wasn’t properly insured, and now I’m stuck with the damage and a bumper hanging off a brand-new car. No one warned me that there are sensitivity settings on the forward collision system, which could’ve made a huge difference. I’ve been loyal to Hyundai for over 10 years, but this experience left me shaken and disappointed. I’ve since adjusted the system to be less sensitive, and while it drives a bit better now, I still don’t feel safe. Honestly, I already don’t want the car anymore. Safety features shouldn’t put you in danger—and sales reps should be up front about how they actually work.

Only downside to the vehicle is the engine shut off when stopping. Car bucks when taking foot off brake and starting to hit the gas

Newer model cool but not without issues

Cons: The cameras get clouded or blocked in any type of inclement weather. The fingerprint reader needed fixed at 4000 miles. The washer fluid always has some left over on windshield. The wireless charging pad gets too hot to use on a warm spring day without needing to air condition the charging area. The backseat notification wouldn't shut off with no one in the middle seat the last time we drove people. It kept wanting us to put the middle seatbelt on. Pros: Good pick up. Cool dashboard visuals. Helpful in preventing accidents with it's auto-breaking feature. Good gas mileage. Nice exterior look.

Safety features are terrible!

We do not like the smart features to the braking system. It has suddenly come to a complete stop when we were not at risk of hitting the vehicle in front of us. To turn this off, we have to do it every time the vehicle starts. The cruise control is terrible!

I have problems with the oil 2 weeks after I got it new disappointed

The oil light keeps coming on saying I have low oil, called the dealer and they can't see my car for 2 weeks. I have back surgery I cannot even get a loaner from them let alone leave my car. I am very upset.
