Doesn’t meet expectations

Overall I don’t dislike the Tucson but I’d never pick it again. It’s a great size and looks sleek, not too boxy or too like a SUV. But, I don’t like the way it handles and driving it gets really frustrating. It doesn’t seem to have a set process for when to use AWD or not, and using AWD while downtown city driving is so annoying I wish it could be set to FWD. The interior is ultimately nice looking but functionally it’s not the easiest to use especially while you’re driving. The AC fan speed buttons are like a touch screen so you have to look at where you’re pressing, if they were an actual button or dial you could keep your eyes on the road. There’s also no designated place for sunglasses which seems trivial but becomes a challenge when you’re actively driving. And the built in phone charger is also a nice feature in theory but if the phone isn’t in the exact right position it doesn’t work and that can be frustrating to deal with while driving.

My first Hyundai

Overall I am pleased with my 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL. There are lots of great thought out features/controls throughout the vehicle. The dash controls are a nice mix of screen and physical buttons/knobs that make controlling the music/map/temperature very easy and quick. It’s a comfortable and quiet ride although getting up to speed from a stop is sluggish, which I was aware of. Gas mileage has exceeded my expectations.

It has the driving safety aids we wanted. cameras on mirrors, heads up display, lane and distance following. The car is a quite ride and has adequate power for our needs.

Love the car, but dislike some of its “safety features”. The take a break for example. It’s inconsistent and annoying. The fact that I cannot disable this feature WITHOUT taking it to the dealer is extremely annoying

Best Mid Size SUV

We wanted something a little larger than the Kona but still keeping the 4 wheel drive. The Tucson fit the bill perfectly. It's very roomy on the inside with a huge display screen for navigation and other onboard apps. Ours came with a sunroof. The ride is smooth and quiet. We're going to enjoy our Tucson for years to come.
