2025 Hyundai Tucson

Vehicle is just okay. Has sensor lights going off all the time. I'm told that will just happen due to bug splatter or light fog from service center. Small fuel tank, gets decent fuel milage though, just more often visits than accustomed to. Heat takes a while, maximum heat will take about 10-15 mins to achieve warmth in the vehicle, even after running 10 mins during remote start-up. Vehicle is slow to take off from stops; there is a 3-5 second delay after applying the gas petal before the vehicle decides to move. This issue is less than a second or up to a second in sport mode. It also helps to turn of the auto start/stop. It reduces each time by about 1/2.

Santa Fe Sport 2T vs Tucson Limited

Really like this vehicle (tucson) Love the safety features, smooth and quiet drive. It isn't a turbo which is my fault for my vehicle selection. Going from a Santa Fe Sport to the Tucson was an adjustment ... smaller vehicle, lower the ground and given the choice again, I would chose the turbo.

Top 'o the line Tucson

The vehicle has just about everything you could want, it's features are not always useful. Whether it's because govt mandated certain features or they were poorly designed by Hyundai engineers, certain safety features should not be on ANY vehicle.

Solid, Dependable and Boring to Drive.

We were looking for a dependable small SUV for long highway trips to replace our Toyota Avalon. This car is surprisingly roomy with excellent rear leg room and headroom. It was the best ride that we tested and the quietest small SUV. Wind noise was not noticeable at highway speeds. The seats are comfortable for short trips but the bottoms are too firm for longer trips. We like the dependable non-turbo engine with 8-speed transmission and 10 year power train warranty. The Tucson takes hills easily cruising at 75 mph. Power is lacking at low speeds but adequate above 25 mph thanks to the 8-speed transmission. The interior is stylish but too much hard plastic. The infotainment is excellent and sits lower on the dash than most for better visibility. This car is great to drive on long trips, but really lacking in the fun factor. We have been surprised by the fuel economy when you drive it conservatively. We are averaging 36 on the highway and 32 in mixed city driving.

Hyundai Tucson 2025

There are several options that I should have checked out before I purchased the car. The driver’s seat is automatic, the passenger’s is not. For the front windows, you just have to lift the lever, and the windows automatically go up or down. For the rear windows, the lever must be held until the window is up. The seats are not real leather, so you don’t slide in. You have to lift yourself up to get in the seat. I wish I had kept my Venza.
