Almost perfect! But...

I've been eyeing the Santa Cruz since the early concept days. This year, I upgraded to the 2025 XRT model in Rockwood Green. Love the looks, much more rugged than before, and the turbo is a HUGE improvement! Ride is amazing and for my minimal time off-road or doing runs to home improvements, it's the perfect car. Well, except that it's not—Hyundai, we need more bed space! Can't we make the back seats fold down? Or even better, offer the original a 2 door version concept with a 6' bed. Other than that, keep breaking the mold Hyundai! Love to see where this is going.

Car-Truck is a Winner!

I wanted a vehicle that could do anything I ask of it, and the Santa Cruz does exactly that! It’s comfortable, has excellent features, and I love having the truck bed when I need it.

Excellent so far

Love the vehicle and its capabilities. Comfortable, capable, and performs well. Has the capabilities of a truck and drives like a car. MPG is far better than my truck and its able to haul most of the things my truck can haul.

I love the styling, handling, performance and comfort. But....

Overall, I love my 2025 Santa Cruz / SEL / Activity Package. Many things about the infotainment system make me crazy. The console armrest / storage lid is not well thought out. When in the driver's seat and you open the lid (arm rest), which hinges from the back, the lid pops up and blocks access to the storage...unless you are double or triple-jointed. This seems like it would have been obvious to any engineer who actually sat in the driver's seat and tried to reach something out of the console storage. I spent months trying to figure out the infotainment system and had several friends and neighbors try to help me. I did go back to the dealership and someone there helped with some of the settings, but some of my issues with it are just the way it is designed. The radio settings just don't remain the same as you left them before turning the truck off and then on again.
