Improved over my 2023 model
I wish the color was actually more of a deep red than orange-red; it makes it look a bit like a match box truck come to life. I like the turbo motor-much better acceleration and likely will tow better (though I don't have a hitch on it yet). The larger display screen is great. There is a glitch when using Apple Car Play- I am unable to use the vehicle radio when connected to Car Play, even if nothing is playing on my phone.
I am happy there is finally an OFF button for climate control!
It's a great little hauler for all of my DIY projects.
I wish there was a better system for retracting the tonneau cover than the cheap strap. And when closed it does leave a gap that leaks in rain- one has to be cautious about what is in the bed if parking outside.
It's not great in snow even with the AWD engaged- maybe it still needs some extra weight in the bed, I don't know.
I HATE the "consider taking a break" alarm that goes off ENTIRELY RANDOMLY, some trips every 5 minutes, others after an hour, with no rhyme or reason (i.e. driver totally awake, alert, and scanning the road and mirrors normally). I do NOT need a nanny telling me to take a break! There should be a way to SHUT IT OFF! Also, it doesn't allow use of cruise control when wearing sunglasses!! In a similar note, when it is raining hard it constantly alarms "check driver assistance" and displays an orange symbol of 2 cars colliding head on- no idea what exactly I am supposed to check! No way to stop it from alarming (at least that I can find) and it is VERY DISTRACTING when driving (especially in the pouring rain). Hyundai needs to retool those "safety" features- they are distracting and annoying and do not contribute to safety.
One thing I am quite grateful for is there is no stop/start nonsense (the kind that automatically shuts the vehicle off if you stop longer than a few seconds and then restarts when you go again)- that feature actually turned me off from Subaru after driving them for 30 years.
I haven't owned a Hyundai long enough yet to comment on reliability but the warranty is good.
