Mechanical issues, did I get a lemon?

While I love the looks and features of my Santa Cruz, I’ve had mechanical difficulties from the start. I keep getting a battery discharge message and the memory seats have never worked.I've had 3 service appointments with no success. At this point we’re waiting for parts (again). I’m wondering if I got a lemon. If it weren’t for these issues, I’d love this truck, it rides great & has nice pick up, also love that it has a sunroof!

Cool, fun and sporty.

So far, so so good. As we only have 1200 miles so far it's not fair to provide an in depth review just yet. But it has checked a lot of boxes and as of yet, we have not be disappointed in purchasing this mini pickup truck.

One of a kind

Love it. So far no complaints. We have a Hyundai Elantra for 6 years and no issues. So getting another Hyundai was a no brainer. Sporty look and better look than others out there. Great mileage on highway.

Six months in

Overall, very happy with the vehicle. Form fit and function are very good. Haven’t driven the vehicle to his full potential yet, i.e. off Roading, but have told a trailer with it with a relatively good size load and it performed very well.

Excellent small truck. Comfortable, fast and handles well.

The turbo 4 in the Santa Cruz is excellent. It provides a burst of power on the open road. Having both a bed and four door seating is just what I needed. I also like the modern AWD system over traditional 4WD that larger trucks are still using. The bed is smaller but for most projects it's fine.

Some great updates, with a lot of missing software features.

Overall I enjoy a lot of the new features this vehicles has over previous generation however there are a few missing features and changes that hold it back. Climate control no longer activates, heating and cooling seats, it has to be done manually. The system to ensure you are keeping your eyes on the road is a massive nuisance, doesn't work well if you wear sunglasses and constantly kicks you from adaptive cruise control, It says you can turn it off in settings but it doesn't actually do anything and will remain on. The OTA updates take forever and won't update when the vehicle is off. You no longer have driver profiles so you can't set your drive preferences to "SMART", "SPORT", etc. Same problem I ran into with the previous gen Santa Cruz, the fuel capacity is 18gal but after the first tank or couple hundred miles it somehow calculates only 15ish gallons making your go from 400-450 till empty down to 300-350. Fuel economy isn't very honest you get 27 on the highway at most but typically get 18-20 in the city. Hopefully Hyundai gets this sorted
