I like my Hyundai Palisade!
I bought the Hyundai Palisade because of the Hyundai and Kia brands warranty and previous experience with the Kia Sorento I had owned, I really wanted a Kia Telluride, but the local Kia dealer was impossible to deal with. I talked with two area Hyundai dealerships and was finally able to talk with one of them.
The Palisade is comfortable in most driving conditions, but the suspension has an annoying metalic clunk when the road is not completely smooth. The Sorento handled the same roads much better. I do not like the front set drink holders and the design of the console compartment lid gets in the way. Cups with handles are a "no go" I miss the lockable glove compartment that my Sorento and every other car I've owned had. There are times when I need that. There are nice things in the trim level I have and others that are noticeably missing. Assist handles are not in the most convenient places. I haven't figured out some of the climate controls yet. I don't like that I can lock the car with windows down and the rear hatch open. The paddle shifters are nice for me as I use down shifting quite often when slowing to a stop. The fact the car recovers to "Drive" one its own is a plus. The cars I have owned (this is number 37) typically go over 100,000 without replacing the brake components. After over 4000 miles in just four weeks, I have no great complaints. I achieved 29 MPH on a recent trip. Better than expected! It isn't a Telluride though...........
