The Underdog

Having owned the GV80 for 3months now, I believe that the GV80 is definitely a luxury SUV that deserves more praise than it gets. I do hope that Genesis lives up to the reputation in its after-sales services as well.

Love driving the car!

I LOVE driving this car! Once familiar with the features, I continue to appreciate the technology and comfort of the vehicle. I have the first service scheduled and the concierge person was prompt and the scheduling was easy. She assured me that the minor concerns I had would be addressed when I came in for service.

I really enjoy by GV80 and am glad I bought it.

For the most part I love the car, the color combination. However the seat belt continues to get stuck at the top because the belt turns when you take it off.

New Genesis GV80

We are getting used to our new Genesis GV80 - we ended up teaching ourselves how to set it up via the manual as well as the Genesis You Tube HOW TO site. We have had a couple of glitches which have been addressed and do have great Service Dept folks to work with.

Enjoyable and comfortable luxury car with many safety features.

The GV80 is well designed both in its interior and exterior with high end materials. Having a Prestige trim the GV80 is packed with technology, maybe too much. The ride is smooth, comfortable and a pleasure to drive. Packed with excellent technology but sometimes I feel I need to be a computer programmer to operate the car. Too early to discuss overall reliability.

Needs fixing

New key is Horrible. Difficult to find buttons. Paint chips easily. This is my second GV80 and both paint jobs chipped easily. The turbo delay is to long. It’s become an okay vehicle, nothing special!

It delivers what is advertised

Only complaint comes from the fact that when I go through the car wash and in neutral at the end it won’t shift to drive ,it stays in neutral. Thank god the car wash has an emergency shut off system. Otherwise the cars behind me would have piled up on me. Just went again yesterday and the same thing happened. I’ve actually had to turn off the engine and restart?? What’s the problem?
