Car

Overall there is so much to like about this car but the CarPlay software is Beta at best. When I bought this car the software was so buggy it was hard to use. Slow load times, radio turns on 60 seconds later, all screens shut down will driving. The updates have made this tolerable but slow CarPlay connections (wired or wireless) is a real problem. I have rented many cars in the past year and they all connect instantly to CarPlay. Two days after I purchased this car the battery was drained due to old software that was not updated when i purchased. Fix the software!

Some problems

Brand new vehicle. Some buttons don’t work. Seat does not move back when u open car door. Windows don’t clear when defogger is on.

Overall, owning my 2025 GV80 has been an enjoyable experience. Outside of an initial issue with a dead battery after 3 days of ownership and a very unpleasant dealership experience for routine service, I have little to complain about regarding the vehicle.

Luxury SUV with beautiful interior design

I think the interior design is what shines about this vehicle. The selection of colors and details sets it apart from the conventional luxury brands. The ride quality is very good especially in the highways; interior noise is very minimal. The gripe I have is that the check engine light came on after a few hundred miles from when I purchased the vehicle new. I had to bring the vehicle back and had to leave it at the dealership service center for several days for them to address the engine warning/issue. Also paid high price for Genesis scents and found that scent diffuser is not working.
