Quality concerns
The car drives really well and I love driving it. However, I left the dealership not knowing how to use a lot of the electronics and basic functionality like cruise control. Since I purchased it at the end of June, there have been 3 issues. I was driving back from a Maine vacation and in the middle of MA with 3,300 miles on the car, the check engine light came on. I found a service station and paid for an oil and filter change. Thirty minutes later after getting on the road, the check engine light came on again. When I got back to Virgnia, the local Genesis dealer arranged to pick up my car and give me a loaner. This is not the dealership where I bought the car. Three times since I bought the car, a little black plastic piece covering the electronics behind the rear view mirror has dropped off the window. Lastly, the plastic pieces on the cargo cover that are the handles to the cargo cover, literally fell off. I opened the trunk and looked at the cargo cover and went, what looks wrong here. Then I saw two plastic pieces laying in the trunk. Disappointed. I have had 3 Toyotas in a row and it was hard for me to leave them. To have these little basic stuff go wrong and fall off stuff in the car is not acceptable for the luxury car I purchased.
