Interior Console is Poorly Constructed

I am very displeased with the center console of my Genesis GV70. It always looks smudged because of the material they used is a poor quality. If you barely touch the console with any hard item, it will scratch. I am so unhappy with this and you see it every time you get in my car. I would think by purchasing a luxury car, this would have been thought out better.

GV70 Four Months New

I buy a new car every 10-15 years, so I was looking for a brand that had great feedback from owners and auto reviewers. I have never owned an SUV, but the size of the GV70 model is just right for me. I was worried about how the SUV would ride (I have the Advanced model) but it truly drives like a nice car. I have given advice to two family members who were not sure which car to buy, and they both bought GV70's since I bought mine. Time will tell about its long term reliability, but the warranty is great the dealership has been really helpful in answering all the questions I have.

Almost everything about this car is terrific, but...

I love the exterior styling, technology, comfort, ride quality, stereo, interior fit and finish, and climate control. I am glad we purchased this car. It truly looks more expensive than it was. However, there have been a few things wrong with the car that keep me from saying it is perfect. 1. There is a small paint defect on one of the doors. It is very hard to see so I did not return the car. The original GV70 we tried to purchase had several similar paint defects and the dealer was able to find another one that was better. 2. The right-rear passenger door makes a clunking and popping noise when it opens and shuts, like something is broken with the retainer arm that stops it from opening too far. The other three doors are perfectly silent. 3. About 6 weeks after purchasing, the brakes make a loud squeal as I reverse out of my garage and down my driveway virtually every morning. Sometimes it also happens leaving a parking space in a shopping center. It's embarrassing. JD Power wants me to fill out their survey also. I have an appointment for service, so we'll see how my complaints are handled. So far, all I've been able to get is an appointment by booking online. My calls to the service center in Peoria, AZ went unreturned.

Great car unless there's a problem

I leased a GV70 at the end of July. Within 6 weeks I had a problem in that the front screen went black. The part to fix this problem was not available and was on back order with no ETA in site. They gave me a loaner and then a second loaner with all the features of my original car. The dealership and my salesman were very accommodating but I didn't have MY car. After much back and forth, corporate/my case manager agreed to repurchase the car. I am still waiting for the final resolution.

Great vehicle for the money

It is a great looking performance SUV. Nice handling, well appointed. The 4 cyclinder has good power, but there is a bit of turbo lag, especially at low RPMs, so you have to tramp on the accelerator. The 27" screen inside is nice, but presents some minor frustrations - by default it always starts up with the map screen, even if that is not desired (there doesn't seem to be workaround that). There are some customizable buttons on steering wheel, but they won't allow you to show the radio stations.

Love!

I have not loved a car so much as this one since I was a kid and had a convertible! Typically color doesn't mean that much to me, but the Ceres Blue has me smiling every time I see it! The car drives so comfortably and easily. We go up to the mountains often and it handles so well on winding, steep roads. So much tech. Too much, but I'm slowing learning it all.
