I am not a car person. I was assigned a Genesis by a rental car company. I was so impressed I had to purchase one for myself! Most expensive rental car ever!!!

Mostly very good

So far the GV70 has been very nice with the exception of one thing and one nit pick. The nit pick is I would like to be able to turn off the cargo area lights. The issue is on multiple occasions after backing out of a parking space I was not able to shift the car into neutral or drive. I had to shut the car off and restart it to get it to shift properly.

GV70

The car is great. Extremely comfortable. But there are some minor issues. The figure print scanner is too detailed. Almost 100% of the time it does not find a match. Finding what options the car offers is difficult. I was told someone tells it to put up /down a window, and the car does it. I can't find how to do that. I want to surprise the map display, but I cannot find how. There are more.

Enjoyable Luxury SUV with abundant features but poor documentation.

Very well equipped vehicle with latest safety and convenience features. Smooth ride and handling except for 1) brief turbo lag and 2) occasional, rough idle restart. Features are as luxurious as many higher priced vehicles. Biggest drawback is poor documentation. Voluminous manual is mostly composed in five other languages. Content of manual is not useful and void of how to operate the vehicle. Most content is for nav system and entertainment. The manual is devoid of basic specifications (dimensions, fuel grade, oil spec, tire pressures, etc.).

fun and easy to drive

Test drove a genesis gv70 in 2022. Thought it was cheaply made and expensive. Bought a 2022 Lexus NX350. Test drove a 2025 Genesis - much improved interior quality and much easier to drive. Very good visibility. Traded my Lexus for Genesis gv70.

Awesome except a couple things

I LOVE my Genesis! My only complaints are minor. 1. Any sunlight reflects off the heads up display making a glare on the windshield directly in my line of sight (I’m short). 2. The incomplete software was a bummer. I did not have CarPlay wired or wireless for a few weeks then spent 3 hours in the dealership for an upgrade to the system that ONLY the dealership could do. I still have delays when connecting to CarPlay but it’s not enough to really inconvenience me. But in a car this nice at this price, I want complete functionality. Otherwise, this car is amazing on short or long trips. Extremely comfortable, minimal road noise, excellent suspension. The advanced SmartPosture is wonderful. I will be buying another Genesis in the future!
