About a month later, when it was time for an oil change, I decided to drive to this BP across from the Tyson’s corner mall a try and see if my inkling about this being my new “go to shop” was correct. In fact IT IS!!
Said and his team were kind, efficient and more than professional.I had called a few days earlier for pricing. They had quoted me $30 lower than what I normally pay and in fact, that is what they charged me!!!
They took my car right away, even though I did not have an appointment. When I arrived, they told me there would l be a 30 minute wait, as it was currently lunch time. I said I did not mind waiting and could get some work done. Although they said it would be a wait they took my car back and started working on it within the next five minutes. As requested they changed my oil, topped off all my fluids and thoroughly checked out my car.
They did not try to sell me anything unnecessary ( a common practice I have found as a woman having her car serviced). They did let me know about some items coming up that I need to address ( including an inspection that would expire soon). I appreciated this very much. They even provided me with the printout per my request of these items and transparent pricing for them as well, incase I decided to have the work done there.
The waiting area is not fancy, but they did have chairs as a small table so I could get some work done while I waited for my car. While waiting I realized that addition to selling gas /mechanic services & selling snacks/drinks , they also have a U-Haul rental and (I think) are affiliated with an auto glass company as well. Many people came in and out while I was there most of them knew Said by name.
At one point a few people came in to drop off a U-Haul they had rented. They expressed that they wanted to have some hot coffee, which they did not sell there at the gas station. They were showed where the cold coffee drinks for sale in the fridge, but they declined expressing that they really wanted some hot coffee. Said went to his break area in back and returned with hot coffee for all of them from his own personal stash (at no charge) and even showed-them where he keeps his milk for them to add to their coffee if they would like. Although I don’t think anyone realized that I was watching, this sealed the deal for me. I knew this was the right place for me to be in-trusting with my car.
After my service I paid and was provided with a itemized receipt. I was done later emails my receipt and a link to a portal where I could see the history of my service. This was very impressive to me.
It truly is the little things that make this place special. I am so grateful to have found this place and will return it for all my needs in the future.
