2015 Honda Accord diagnostic and repair
Needed to get our vehicle evaluate, dropped off and within two days had diagnostic evaluation and coil replacement completed. Appreciate the technicians completing the task and being able to pick up the car following service.

Transmission service and NYS inspection.
We bought two used vans and wanted to make sure the transmissions were properly serviced so that they wouldn’t fail like our old vans did. We asked around and TransTek seems to be the place everyone recommended. They serviced the transmissions and did NYS inspections without any of the nickel and dime “problems” that other shops seem to come up with. No complaints from me.

Honest, Knowledgeable, and Reasonable
Transmission error light came on in my Z4. BMW dealership where I purchased and serviced the car told me it was a bad torque converter. Was also told part was discontinued due to age of car - it’s a 2003 with only 60K miles. Told my only option was if they could find one from a salvage yard, and was quoted a price of over $5K. The one they found was from a reck with over 200K miles. I asked about remanufactured and they didn’t think that was an option. Called several other BMW dealers in the area and most didn’t return my calls; the ones who did didn’t want to help me. Did web search for transmission specialists and liked what I read about Trans-Tek. They quickly diagnosed the problem as corroded wires causing faulty error codes, which they repaired. Kept the car for a few days to make sure no other issues. Total cost less than $400 - saved me over $5K that would have been charged by BMW, and would not have corrected the the issue. I recently brought the car back to them to replace a faulty alternator and plan to bring my car to them for all servicing. A word about BMW - my 2003 Z4 seems to be a well built high quality car. I also had a fully loaded 2011 335i convertible that I loved but had several quality issues, including electrical and oil leaks. BMW service was very expensive and never seemed to address the issues. Also caught them charging me for service that was never done (e.g. a wheel alignment). I will never go to BMW for service again, nor will I but another new BMW until they address the quality issues and the uninspired handling of the newer models. We just bought a new Mercedes CLE that handles like BMW’s used to. Hoping quality is better.

Excellent service
We are repeat customers at Trans Tek, and Bob and his crew deliver all the time. Quality work with affordable pricing. We were kept updated of the progress of the work, and the job was done ahead of schedule. Did a terrific job at a fraction of the price the dealership was asking!
