Service Consultant Dan Bergeron: What this world needs more of...
I just want to take a moment to share with anyone needing a service consultant recommendation.
Dan Bergeron is a breath of fresh air. He was assigned my daughters vehicle issues. He communicated with me over 2 hours away with honesty, kindness and unbelievable service professionalism. He was
very genuine in trying to evaluate the issues and being considerate with how to approach the car evaluation of issues. We trusted, that he was going the best route to just be patient to uncover our problem. He was requesting help from the corporate Hyundai on research of these type of problems
our car was experiencing. You could feel that he really cared and understood the situation, as he has
daughters too. He was successful in diagnosing the problem and gave us great advice on how
to go about our next step. What I am saying is that Dan Bergeron is a person the world needs more of
these days. Absolute sincere gentleman and I hope Parkway Hyundai of Wilmington knows how great
a Service Consultant they have in Dan. He even took a moment to come out to speak to me on his day
off, while we were getting things out of the vehicle. I would tell everyone if they need service, Parkway
Hyundai of Wilmington is a honest and exceptional service department. Thanks to Dan...we need more people like you in this world.

Motor replacement
Tonya was my customer service representative. Tonya and the Parkway Hyundai service team provided professional first quality service and follow up. The service department diagnosed my problem, replaced my motor in my Hyundai Sonata and had me on the road within a month. I am impressed!

Lacking in customer service
Parkway damaged my paint job during a warranty service and sent my brand new vehicle home with me without telling me...hoping i wouldn't notice. It took 5 phone calls to get anyone to return my call. A month later took my car in on a Friday and they said it would be ready mid week the next week. Never heard anything from them. I called the next Friday, left another message and still no call back as of this writing.

Routine covered service impossible
I bought a new 2022 Tuscan which has the routine maintenance like oil changes covered for the first year. Problem is it's been impossible to get a timely appointment. Two months for an available date for an oil change?

I went down the street to Mobile One and was in and out in 15 minutes. So much for the free oil changes...

Reservation it's not
Made Reservation for oil change and tire rotation 30 days before the service date. Arrived at 945 for 10 am appointment, checking in was told this was " drop off" and could take till 4pm. Asked to speak to a manager, spoke with Mr Lee. He must be a brother in law or something, he was just making excuse after excuse , telling me that I didn't understand and that my confirmation said it was a drop off, pulled up the confirmation text and lo and behold no mention of the drop off ,only I have a 10am reservation. No offers to give me a loaner to go home or even pay an uber. He finally admitted it's an ongoing problem , then yelled he was done with me, asked to speak with someone above him ,this at 1030am spoke at 2pm with someone.

Worst experience ever
Robert Fromal is complete bully when it comes to fixing cars. After having my car towed to the dealership to have the transmission replaced, he refused to even look at my car and repeatedly lied to me about everything. He said he was the ONLY person who could help me. He said that there was NO ONE else who could help me in fixing my car. He repeatedly called me ugly nasty names and was extremely unprofessional and very inappropriate towards me. They are no help at the dealership and all they will do is take your money, 10,000 dollars worth, and refuse to fix your vehicle. Worst dealership experience of my entire life I would not wish Rob’s unprofessional abuse upon anyone he is extremely mean and this is one of the worst places in Wilmington to take your car. VERY hurtful and untrustworthy people

Great Cars..... Poor Service Model
I bought a new 2022 Hyundai Tuscon earlier this year at Parkway. It is the best car that I have ever purchased. The sales experience was excellent as they were easy to do business with.

However their servicing model is broken. Having to wait almost a month to get an appointment for an oil change. Would normally just go somewhere else, but Hyundai covers the oil changes for the first 3 years or 36k miles.

Until they step up and fix the serving model (a week feels like a max wait, especially for someone that bought the vehicle there!) I would think hard about buying a vehicle from them if you plan on having it serviced there.

And a heads up to those that use their service that you need to call a month ahead for planned service to avoid the hassle. Maybe something that Parkway ownership may want to notify customers of or at least put on their website to keep others from having the same bad experience I have had.

Parkway service is as excellent as the Genesis itself…both deserve the highest ratings. Sales and Service personnel know their products and how to provide the best customer experience from start to finish, so going anywhere else is not an option.
