“Sears ran a serious repair business for fifty years,” says Mike McInerney, owner and operator of McInerney Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and the new McInerney Auto Center. “Their attention to customer satisfaction led to their longevity and generations of loyal patrons. We intend to revive their great reputation and add our own formula for success.”

The McInerney automotive family dates to 1964 when Tom, Hoot, and Jack McInerney opened Northland Chrysler Plymouth on 8 Mile Road in Oak Park. Treating their customers “like family” was the foundation upon which the brothers would build a Detroit dynasty of a dozen car dealerships and service centers.

Our mission is to provide our customers with reliable, affordable, and honest automotive services. We pride ourselves on our transparency and always take the time to explain the necessary repairs and provide detailed estimates before any work is done. Our goal is to keep your vehicle running smoothly and safely on the road for years to come.

Windshield washer hose clogged
They went above and beyond what needed to be repaired. They could have just changed the hoses and been done. They changed the washer nozzles too regardless of it being under warranty they simply did not have to. I appreciate their honesty in repairing my vehicle and will certainly use them again in the future.

Engine light on
5-3-2025, Driving on expressway, engine lite came on, stopped at McInerney. So glad they were open on a Saturday. They diagnosed and fixed my car right away. It was the engine thermostat that went caput. Everyone was great.

My daughters jeep
We picked my daughter up from college and quickly noticed her jeep was in need of some serious work. I called the shop. They got her in right away, they found and fix the problem same day. Her 2016 jeep is back running like new. This is our second time bringing her Jeep here. This will be the mechanic for our entire family now. I’m extremely grateful they are quick, efficient and kind.

Quickly checked out.
Hit a deep chuck hole. Wanted to be sure that no damage was done to the front end. Made an appointment and they took the car in shortly after we arrived. Inspected everything and let us know that no damage had occurred. Also let me know that the alignment was a little off and asked if we wanted the alignment reset. We did ask for the front end alignment and it was completed in a very short time. Reasonable price and extremely friendly service. My wife was very pleased to find out that her car was thoroughly checked out and she was confident that driving her vehicle was safe.

Phenomenal!!!
Being a young woman it can be intimidating going to get work done on your vehicle. I have had a few times where other shops have been dishonest, I’ve been ripped off etc. But these guys are amazing!! So grateful to have had the experience I did with them. They went above and beyond my expectations, which were already high because of such great reviews! I got an alignment, a tire replaced and they fixed my engine shield. They had to order my tire but it arrived by the next morning! They had everything done very quick. They were so kind and I will definitely come back! Highly recommend this shop!
