We appreciate your feedback, and would like to clarify what transpired during your recent visit. When you brought your vehicle in for service, you advised us that the battery had been recently changed, but that the vehicle kept having to be jump started every few days. You authorized a diagnostic to check for any parasitic draw that could be causing the battery to fail, as well as to check the charging system. Our technician performed the requested checks and determined that the parasitic draw for the vehicle was normal, and that the charging system was operating properly. We then performed a check of the battery you had recently purchased elsewhere, and shared with the you the results of that test, which showed the battery failed its load testing. We recommend to install a new battery, or return to where you had purchased the one in the vehicle, and ask to swap it out with a working battery.
We performed the service, and advised of the needed repair, as requested. While we understand that you are frustrated that the battery you had recently purchased was faulty, we stand by our diagnostic procedure and result, as we follow Hyundai protocol for verifying concerns and determining a fix.
