Awful Experience
I would give less than a star if able. These guys may offer a vehicle for a certain price, but then jack up the price of the car based on equipment that was already in the car before the offer. This bait and switch was very apparent. First they suggested a car that cost $5,000 more than the car I wanted. Then they tacked on fees for window tint and gps "coverage" whatever that was. Then they ran through their own credit sources that put me at a ridiculous loan for 4% more than I had obtained through a different bank. Then they told me if I went through my own financing it would be 2,000 more for the car because they would not get the commission from the lender. For shame Killeen Hyundai. In these times it is not really advisable to offer a car for a certain price and then add in approximately $4,000 of stuff the car already had on it, jacking up the price. Your list price on your website is misleading and deceptive.

Technician and Management Negligence
This is no reflection on Service Advisor Maegan Sprawls. She provided unusually good customer service on February 19, 2024 when, after I specifically requested no car wash after an oil change, the technician put my Santa Cruz through the carwash with the sunroof and rear window open. Meagan offered me a free detailing of my vehicle. However, in addition to water getting into my vehicle yesterday, I came outside the next morning to find my vehicle leaking oil everywhere. Something is not tightened up. As I told Maegan, at this point I want the oil change redone and the engine bay cleaned, in addition to the offered free detail. On a previous occasion, Killeen Hyundai scratched the tint on the driver side window. I want that fixed too, especially after the ludicrous price ($800) that the dealership charged me for window tint (only accepted because this vehicle was hard to get at the time). I have saved email correspondence with killeenauto.com staff including photos regarding all these issues. I'm not happy with the quality of Killeen Hyundai’s technicians. They're sloppy and inattentive. Killeen Hyundai should pick the vehicle up Friday morning and take care of it, but everyone who answers the phone is a no-nothing do-nothing who seems to think their job is to protect managers Nick and Joe, who have had the opportunity to call me back and make arrangements for several hours.

Finance manager was not honest about the available warranty on the Santa Fe we bought
We found this 23 Santa Fe Hybrid online, stated it was a loaner with just over 3K miles on it at this dealership about 1.5 hours away. We called and Chrystal took the call and connected us to Nate who is a salesperson. Nate greeted us and had the car brought up and the price that was on the website was not what was on the car. We mentioned this and Nate said that was because the dealer add ons were not reflected on the website. Really? The car was beautiful and had a substantial discount so we proceeded on. We took our 2018 Mercedes for trade which we had already gotten purchase estimates from several other sources and the first thing they tried to undercut the trade by almost 4k. They finally agreed to our price. Nate was a fast talker and it was hard to keep up with what he was telling us. We then moved to finance and it got even worse. This car was a loaner but had never been sold so would be considered new. But they told us it was not, and that it was sold as certified used and that the car would have a reduced warranty from the manufacturer. The discussion started about the extended warranty. I told him we wanted a factory Hyundai warranty. Sorry not available on a used car. They quoted us something like 3300 for a third party warranty with a $100 deductible and also the car had a bunch of useless addons in leu of a dealer markup. Look at other reviews you'll see the trend. I told the finance manager that we had just bought a Palisade in Austin a month before and that we bought the factory warranty from a dealer in Vermont and he looked me straight in the eye and said "we don't have dealers in that state" I almost flat called him a liar but I kept my cool. They did offer to sell us this "apex warranty" at the same price. We made the deal and left and I started making some calls and sending emails and posting messages on FB groups. I called the finance manager at the Vermont dealer that sold us our extended warranty at a huge discount and he asked for the VIN of the Santa Fe. He verified that the car is considered new, has the full factory warranty and did qualify for the 10 year, 120K zero deductible factory Hyundai extended warranty. We called Nate at Killeen Hyundai yesterday and told them our findings and that all we wanted was a refund on this third party warranty so we can buy the Hyundai factory extended warranty. We never got past Nate who became a completely different person that he was when we bought the car. He kept talking over us, saying the call and transaction was recorded in the finance office (good, it's documented?) and then said we were yelling at him and our business is finished. He hung up on us mid sentence. I can't wait to get the survey from Hyundai in fact I am going to file a formal complaint with both Hyundai and the Killeen BBB and every review site I can find. I don't want anyone else to get this sort of treatment. The treatment between the dealer in Austin where we bought the Palisade was wonderful. Day and night difference. I would recommend you buy elsewhere. I used to work at a car dealer. They LOVE to sell the aftermarket warranty because they make a lot more money on them.

Missing Key Fob
My husband and I bought a car from them July of 2022. They gave us 1 key fob and said that there was a key fob shortage and would mail the other one to us when it came in. We called a few months later and was told they aren’t in yet. Then my husband called in December and they told him they were still on back order and will be in in 4 months. He called today and they just now tell him that he needs to bring the car to them so they could get the vin number and they wouldn’t take it over the phone and they can order it, and then when it comes in he has to come have it programmed. We live an hour away from them so we do not want to bring it in 2 times. I am losing my patience with them and do not like the run around they are giving.

Stay Away
Stay away from these people. They will tell you anything and everything you want to hear over the phone. They make you come into the showroom and completely change whatever you are told over the phone. I never negotiated price. I merely accepted what the phone salesperson said was their selling price and selling practices. They don't honor their telephone conversations. They significantly raise the price of a vehicle when you walk in the door. Buyer beware.

They'll rip you off all the same
"Transparency" was the word I kept hearing after the sales manager told us one price, we showed up and found they don't sell cars without a $4000 add on package. Since other dealerships are tacking on the same and they had the car in stock, we decided just to pay it. However there was a stop sale on the vehicle, so they sold it to us, financed it through hyundai motors, but come to find out, left the contract in limbo. Now we sit with a car sold to us, unable to get it, financed in my name without a bill of sale. Talk about shady... I will never do business here again.

Shady practices
Instead of a "market adjustment," they force over $2500 of "protrctions" on you. Though they say this is "transparent" and "up front," they fail to mention these as a mandatory charge before you drive 2.5 hours to see the car.

They will have you over a barrel and not be shy about trying to make it worse in the finance department. I don't know if I've ever met an honest dealership, but this one certainly isn't different than any other I've ever been to.

Killeen Service requires vacation days to complete service
Excessive wait time checking in, poor communication as to how service was progressing, service advisor was given a list of addition parts I needed and these were not ready upon check out (more time wasted), paperwork for my service was delayed and nobody seemed to know where it was, I discovered my car in the customer return lane and was never notified it was ready, never saw the Service advisor again during the 3 hr block time it took to do a routine oil change and rotate tires. The parts department person and the ladies checking customers out were very friendly. My main disappointment is the amount of time it took to complete the simple service (local shop takes 1 hr to do the same service), lack of communication by the service Advisor and poor notification that my car was ready. My spouse was stranded waiting on me to come get him.if I could have given a score that was NEGATIVE I would. More training for the Hyundai Service Advisor is needed! Better explanation of things covered under warranty would have been nice. I feel that if you are going to perform a service on a vehicle, such as an alignment, that the service should be performed completely. Not just the part that you worked on because the part you replaced may have caused the rest of it to go out of alignment. It causes an issue of trust for me. I’ve been in the automotive repair maintenance business for over 30 years, and never have done only half of a job. It would’ve took in the technician six minutes to complete the job totally, and he still would have got paid for a half an hour or more, Depending on what your flag pay is about.
