Gurley leep has been an ongoing nightmare for me. I purchased a used vehicle and within only a couple of days the engine light came on, despite promises that the car is in perfect condition. The service center did everything in their power to refuse service. Once the car was serviced, the engine light came on again. Once again, I had to fight for them to look at the car. Finally it was fixed and six months later, the engine light came back on. I took the car to Veldman’s (this place I would highly recommend for service NOT gurley leep) and they said multiple engine parts were in need of replacing. I tried to talk to gurley leep about the limited warranty from purchasing the car and they refused to give me any information about the warranty. I brought the car in for service and they diagnosed the WRONG PROBLEM and tried to tell me I needed approximately $1000 or work that was unnecessary according to Veldmans. Ultimately I brought my car back to Veldmans and it is running perfectly without all the work gurley leep wanted to do. I would NEVER recommend buying or servicing a vehicle at gurley leep, especially Hurley leep Kia (where I purchased the vehicle) or gurley leep Hyundai (where the vehicle was serviced). They are scam artists. Go to veldmans for fair service.

Service Department is Terrible
This dealership is a joke. Purchased a new 2023 Kona and took it to Gurley Leep for the first service visit that is covered by the manufacturer. Multi-point inspection, tire rotation and oil change. You wouldn't think they could screw it up but they did. Gurley Leep did not perform the inspection or the tire rotation. Worse yet, when we checked the oil they put two quarts too much in and it had to be drained off to not ruin a brand new vehicle. I called and stopped back to get the service corrected and each time got a run around telling me they would fix it and would be in touch. They never called back. These clowns even said to me on one call "what do you care, you didn't pay for the service" when I brought it to their attention, and one service girl laughed and said "we do this all the time to our customers." I had to take the vehicle to another dealer to have the service performed correctly. Beware of this group. The bad ratings are legitimate.

Traveler in trouble
My daughter just graduated college and we were packing her car for her and a friend to drive home when we noticed a flat tire. We went down to Gurley Leep Hyundai and met up with Curt Seufert in the service department. The service area seemed pretty busy and we asked if there was a way to accommodate us and to my disbelief they got it in gear and had us out of there in an hour. Thank you Gurley Leep Hyundai for all you do and we won't forget Curt who took care of us that day. John
Gurley Leep Hyundai provided the most exceptional service experience I’ve encountered. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous, and did not pressure me to complete extra service work. The car was in to have a knock sensor upgrade, and the multipoint inspection found it needed an oil change, brake fluid change, and spark plug replacement, all of which I already knew, as the car had just passed 60k miles and was due for those things and more. I will do the plugs myself, as the quoted price was high for that, but the two fluid changes were done there at a very fair price.
It’s crazy how things are changing all around us. If you’re looking for normalcy try Gurley Leep Subura/Hyundai service. It’s cliche, but it’s true. It feels like family there. Old school values from the top and the entire team strive for excellence.
This is to clarify scoring on my previous review. My 3 star score was an overall rating. My interaction with Cyndi Krause (and only her) was 5 star. She tried her best to rectify an unfortunate situation. The same cannot be said for Corp Hyundai or Kevin Curran in your Body Shop. My car’s body work could have been completed during the 7 weeks it was at your dealership. Now I need to bring it elsewhere and wait another few weeks to get it repaired. If it weren’t for Cyndi’s follow up, I would have given you a 2 star rating. Let’s hope for positive interactions in the future.

Unacceptable delay in fixing bad transmission on brand new vehicle
I never expected that my new Santa Fe with only 1100 miles would have a bad transmission. To make it worse, it took over 7weeks to get the replacement part. Though my contact in the service department was great at accepting my vehicle on an emergency basis and followed up with me weekly, she had no control of getting the part required. We were both frustrated with the whole situation. Hyundai Corp was notified, but really wasn’t helpful. This was my 6th Hyundai purchase. I have never had any issues before this. Hopefully, I will not have to encounter anything like this again.
