Only bring your car if you want scammed out of thousands
Not to sound cliché, but can I leave a negative review. To be fair, I'll leave names out. By far the most unprofessional, rude and scam artists I've ever come across. When my engine died under warranty, K*** would only reply via text and I'd get a reply usually 7+ days later for over three months.
When my car stopped accelerating, I first asked for the manager after being disrespected by K*** too many times to count - saying negative customer interaction is being nice. I called and asked for the manager, J** who first tried to have a "Customer Satisfaction Expert" call me back, who I politely told would not be able to handle my issue.
J** then took two days to call back and, even though I left two thorough voicemails explaining the issue and my refusal to work with K***, he called and simply said, "what's up?"
What's up? If you listened to the two detailed messages, you'd be caught up, sir.
I again explained the issue and he said to bring it in and give me a rental, not a loaner, but a $45 rental that I had for less than three hours.
Want to take a guess who he put in charge of my car? Yes, K***, the king of avoidance. He said I needed a new Turbocharger for $3,500.
I felt suspicious and brought my car to Hyundai of Schaumburg. First, customer service is the opposite of Palatine where everyone comes off as bothered by you, hating their job or both.
I didn't say anything about what Palatine said, though I'm sure it's in the system. In less than an hour I was told that there was a part attached to the Turbocharger that had a crack and it'd be *LESS THAN" $1,100. But difference from a $3.5k Turbocharger that, if I believed shady K***, I'd have gotten my car back and still have the original since their inability to diagnose the real issue would have then caused another appointment and maybe then they'd have gotten it right, but I'd be out $3.5k.
These folks are scam artists, and since they only want to speak over text, it's nice I still have the thread, full of rudeness from K***, plus the lies about my Turbocharger that was actually fine, but he / they just wanted to make an extra buck or two.
That said, if something doesn't sound right or you feel you should get a second opinion, go to Hyundai of Schaumburg (where you'll also get an actual loaner and not be charged $45 for two hours of use).

Great Experience!
Hyundai Palatine made my new purchase quick and easy! They were easy to communicate with and up front with pricing options. I would definitely buy from them again.

DONT GO HERE!!!
The "leadership discount" it's a lie. DONT BELIEVE IT!!! Leaders in lying, cheating and stealing maybe. I called ahead and told them the SUV I wanted and the price range I wanted to be around, they said if I had excellent credit that they could make that work. I have excellent credit and they still made the payments about 25$ more a month than we agreed upon. Also, when I showed up, they told me that the car I wanted I couldn't get because there was a stop sale on it and they were going to give me the same care but different vin, (on cars.com where I looked, they were all different prices due to different accessories. I also called about this leadership to find out why they can take $5,000 off of a new car and they lied and told me it was because they sell so many cars. (There's no law in Illinois that prevents them from false advertising). I was texting with the salesperson all day setting stuff up and making sure everything was good to surprise my fiancé. So, we get there after my fiancé gets off work and there's 3 hours before they close, and we left after they closed for no reason.... it was the end of the month, the sale/deals were about to expire "of course", and we drove an hour to go get this new car. We go to do the paperwork as the store is closing and they tell me I have to pay $2000 for low jack, which no one told me about and they gave me $250 less than what was appraised at a Hyundai dealer closer to me. I let them pressure me into the buy because I just wanted to get out of there, I was so frustrated. After it was all said and done my payments are about $100 more than we agreed upon over the phone and they had all these things they did to make up that $5000 discount they offered online. I was also told I didn't qualify for all of the discount even though there were no criteria online to show you what the criteria is to be eligible for the "leadership discount". They extended the payments to 84 months instead of 72 to make the numbers look better. They also didn't give us the military discount or the student discount which we talked about over the phone.
I will never go here again, worst experience I have ever had while car buying. I knew I should have left but I needed a new car as the heater wasn't working in it and its winter along with the other things that were going wrong with the car that I could not personally fix. I felt bamboozled and the stars aligned just right for them.

Avoid this dealer!
My experience with Palatine Hyundai is one that I want to make everyone aware of. Late July my wife and I went into order a new Tuscon hybrid and worked with Michelle. The beginning process was very easy and the dealer was accommodating. We received a call on August 31st that the car was in and we could come in a pick it up. We arrived around 6:45 pm and started the process of purchasing the car. My wife took the car on the test drive and upon returning we began to discuss pricing. Mind you we put in an order for the car and had a price that was consistent with the online building the car software. When were handed an invoice that included Lojack, their exterior and interior protection plan, and 3M plastic door covers. I stated that we ordered the car and we did not want any of the additional add-ons and was told that that was how the car was going to be sold. Michelle continued to fight with me on the additions but told us that she fought to remove the $5,000 market adjustment that the dealer had placed on their vehicles. After going back and forth, we were told that if we didn’t agree they had a list of people they could give the car that we ordered too. Unfortunately, we needed the car and caved. After we finalized the pricing and were back with the finance manager signing everything one of the service managers walked in and told us that we couldn’t take the car that evening because they had not done their “final inspection” on the vehicle, meaning they had not do all the stuff that they charged additionally for. We had been at the dealer for over 4 hours at this point and left. I received a call the following day that the car was ready for pick and when I arrived the car had over 100 miles more than the contract stated. I was given the excuse that they must have typed the mileage in wrong and it wasn’t a big deal due to the fact that the mileage was over the stated total and not under. The following day I received a call from Mark Howard asking him to call me back. I waited a few days to respond as it was a long weekend. When I called Mark back, he had asked when I could bring the car back to get the dent fixed, he stated that Michelle told him about the dent and we were NEVER made aware of the dent during or purchase nor was the car put in position where we could see the entire vehicle in the light. I brought the car to get a dentless fix two weeks later on a Wednesday. I was called on Thursday with the news that the car would have to go into the body shop and have work done and be painted. Mark stated that “the car won’t look as good as the first paint that Hyundai put on but they would still be willing to fix the dent.” I was told I would have the car back in two days. It took over a week to get back and when I got it back there was an awful paint job and a pain drip had dried onto the car. They took the car back and had to fix their paint job. During this entire experience I was told that I would be getting a survey sent so I could share my thoughts and feelings. I asked who they sent the email too and I was told that it was my wife’s, we constantly checked and checked and received nothing. When I reached out to Mark about it he told me the email address and they did not type it in correctly and there was nothing else they could do to get us the survey because they forgot one number in the email address. I finally got the car back and with the dent fixed two weeks after and I explained everything to Mark and my experience he went to go get the General Manager to discuss this with me. He was out that day and I was told he would call me the following day, Saturday 10/7. I got a text from Mark on Saturday that the GM was out still but he would for sure call me on Monday. I didn’t hear anything on Monday or Tuesday, I reached out Wednesday and Mark said they were busy with meetings and he would call me that day. Did not hear anything Thursday or Friday. I reached back out to Mark and Mark told me that the GM called and left a message, I never got a call or message and nor did my wife, I shared that information with Mark and he said he would have the GM call Monday. It has been two weeks and I still have not received a call. Michelle kept telling my wife on when we ordered the car that she works that that dealer because they have the utmost integrity and they do not do anything shady. My entire experience has been shady and deceiving. I will never go back to that dealer and I would highly recommend anyone else to avoid Palatine Hyundai due to our experience, they claim they car about customer service but that is all a lie based on what they pulled with us.

Rip Off
I will not be bringing my car back to this dealership again. After receiving my bill that showed a 92 dollar charge for clearing my condensate line which takes all of about 1 minute to blow air or remove the restriction . Plus some hidden 20 dollar charge for the dealership to create a order and to top it off having a ding put in the drivers side door. Told the person who took the pictures of the car before service to look at her pictures because there was no ding and then could tell the person was scrambling saying they couldnt tell if there was a discrepancy on the vehicle when there wasnt. No more service there and wont be buying another hyudai.

Dishonest Dealer. Stay Away!
This is a bait-and-switch dealer which up front advertises low prices on all their cars, but then you find out that the advertised price is not true at all.
All their vehicles come with two add-ons that add over $3,500 to the price of the vehicle. These two completely unnecessary add-ons are Xzilon Protection & LoJack.
While the prices might seem great up front, they soon become obsolete when the final price is presented with little flexibility to the buyer.
My recommendation: DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER!

Palatine Hyundai - Jason Kell
I walked into the dealership with the intent of buying a new sedan. Jason walked me through the entire process and made me feel at home. Answered all my questions, gave his own recommendations, and I was thrilled with the car I drove home. He made a very stressful process so much easier.
