Bad experience with HYUNDAI IONIC 5
We leased a new Hyundai Ionic 5 and paid upfront for the two lease. Three weeks later, the car alerted with a Battery Management System failure. Foundations closed their dealership (we were not told this was happening at the time we leased the car) and sent us to the Hyundai dealership in Frederick for repairs and service (none of this is their fault...they have been incredibly helpful.) They've had our car for just under a month and we keep getting the same run around from Hyundai corporate every week. "We'll call you back in two days..." then they don't. We had no car for the first two weeks, but we finally have a very smoky loaner car. No one has offered to extend our lease (as the clock ticks away without our leased vehicle.) No one is contacting us with our options. We paid for a two year lease on a car that we cannot use and Hyundai is making no effort to make it right. We are no closer to a resolution today than we were over three weeks ago. Hoping others have a better experience, but thought I should put it out there for anyone thinking of purchasing an EV from Hyundai.
