Honesty
My rear brakes were making horrid sound's so I went to Evans. Evans called me stating that it was either a regular brake job or the caliper needed to be changed if technician couldn’t repair The pin located in caliper. I was quoted $495 to $895. When my vehicle was ready Evans called me to say that the technician was able to fix my caliper so I only had to pay the $495. This is the second time Evans saved me money on a repair when they could’ve just replaced parts for a higher bill. This HONESTY is the exact most important reason why I always recommend Evans auto in St Augustine!

A/C repair
On our way to St. Augustine to visit one of our boys family, we turned on the A/C and nothing but hot air came through the venting. This was in Columbia, S.C. I contacted my son, who gave me this auto repair shop. We were only going to be at his home for 4 days. So , on the Thursday after we arrived on Wednesday, I took the car(Subaru Legacy 2011) to the shop . The guys at the front desk were really helpful and understood the situation. They were able to get me in on Friday , the next day, and the repair was done the same day. Brilliantly taken care of. I had an insurance job done in OHIO where we live and found out that the A/C was not repaired properly-in fact, the A/C unit was not even charged. I was able to be reimbursed for the work that was done in your shop from the establishment that did the insurance repair. Thank you again.

Went above and beyond
After going through probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had dealing with a tire shop, Nate and everyone at Evans Automotive went above and beyond to help get me situated. I have 26-in rims on my vehicle and finding tires seem to be extremely difficult. They put in a lot of extra work helping me get my vehicle back on the road. I cannot thank everyone at Evans Automotive enough!

These guys always pick up the phone on the first few rings and engage with me as a customer, they listen to the problem and offer expert knowledge. I have not found a more honest, efficient group of people, I will spare you the details, but I have them. They check all of the boxes for me as a responsibly run local business. Camshaft lifter repair
I have been waiting until i made the trip from florida back to Michigan to write this. My 2017 silverado with 5.3 engine had a lifter failure which also wiped out camshaft. (58 thousand miles) Evans did a full afm delete with new cam and lifters, something dealer would NOT do. This was a very expensive repair, but they are in ball park with other repair shops. Truck runs better than it ever did since new. There repair facility is well organized and employees are professional. I am in ST. Augustine every winter and will continue my business here if needed. Hopefully can get some money back from GM class action lifter lawsuit.
