Unaware of Diagnostic Fee…but staying with you :)
I love you guys, but was surprised by the $99 fee charged to find the noise in my suspension. I had brought the car in a few months ago reporting a strange noise in the suspension and you guys kept it for a few extra days, saying you needed another tech to look at it. The result then was you couldn’t find anything wrong, and didn’t charge me. I was thankful. “When the noise gets louder, we’ll find it then”. The noise has gotten louder and so I brought it in and said you should be able to determine the problem because the noise has gotten louder. You did. You determined my front and rear suspension has been worn out for a while, struts, tie rods, and shocks. With alignment it will be $2,200 or so. I was glad to learn this, but I was surprised by the $99 fee to diagnose it. I wasn’t told there might be a fee, so it caught me off guard. I understand that it takes someone time to find problems, but given my experience a few months ago, I couldn’t figure out why such extensive repairs weren’t diagnosed then. I like you guys, and trust you, I was disappointed you hadn’t told me about the fee, or at least told me we will wave the fee if you have the work done. I am scheduled to come in and get the work done, but perhaps going forward you could clarify the diagnostic cost up front. As I said, I like you guys and trust you. I have appreciated your work and look forward to staying a loyal customer.
