Worse place to go
I bought a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. I thought it was 10,000 because that’s what the front page said but once I got home and I started researching he had me pay $20,000 in total for 2013 that the engine light check came on a year later transmission went out water pump. I had so many issues with this car and now it’s broke down and he wouldn’t even let me keep the car after paying so much money on this car and all the trouble I went to in this car spending thousands of dollars to get it fixed and to keep it running and still making payments CD auto exchange is the worst place to go to. I recommend you guys go to drive time.

Do Not Buy From This Dealer
Review of C&D Auto Exchange
DO NOT BUY from this dealership. In December we met Carl, looked at a truck, and asked for the details for research. Carl gave us a “Bill of Sale” sheet with the truck info (or so we thought). a 2006 Ford F250 diesel with a VIN number. After researching, ee went back to purchase the truck. The truck has a noise and Carl assured us multiple times that the noise was the air conditioner and stated he would have this part replaced. Carl stated multiple times that his mechanic had checked out the vehicle and it was in excellent mechanical condition with no issues except for the air conditioner part. We bought the truck at the end of the business day on Saturday Januray 5th. We drove the truck across the street to eat dinner and when we came out of the restaurant found a large leak under the truck. C&D Auto is closed on Sunday. Monday we took it to our mechanic for inspection. Our mechanic said that the oil leak was a 8/10 serious oil leak and there also appeared to be a coolant leak. There was increased pressure in the radiator, which also would indicate an issue. Our mechanic recommended we return the truck to C&D Auto Exchange and not drive it until the source of the leaks were investigated further and fixed (he did not want to do much investigation himself due to the risk of Carl stating that we caused the issue in some way). During our mechanic’s inspection, we also realized that the truck was NOT a 2006, it was in fact a 2005 with a different VIN number than was initially provided. The truck was immediately returned to Carl that Monday. Carl saw the leaks and acknowledged them, and stated he would keep the truck and have his mechanic investigate the leaks when he replaced the air condition part. Over a week later Carl left us a message that the truck was ready for pick-up. After 3 days of me calling him, he finally answered my call and said his mechanic “could not reproduce a leak” and that the massive amount of oil was spill over. I strongly disagreed with this assessment. Carl told me I could call his mechanic and talk to him for assurance. My fiancé went to the business location of Carl’s mechanic and was told that they saw the oil under the truck, noticed it was fresh oil, assumed it was spill over, and did no investigation into the source of the leak, and he provided us with a copy of his invoice that stated in writing that there was no further investigation and the assumption was that it was spill over. His invoice also revealed that the air condition part that Carl paid for was a USED part. I called Carl back and Carl said he was not willing to investigate the oil leak further and adamantly stated that we needed to pick-up the truck because there was no oil leak. After my conversation with Carl I called Carl’s mechanic and they confirmed over the phone that there was no investigation into the leak and that they would have to do a dye test and a pressure test to determine the source of the leaks. They agreed to do both tests for $30. I tried to call Carl, but he NEVER answers his calls! I emailed Carl and asked him to take the truck back to HIS mechanic and have him do the tests. Carl refused and again denied the presence of a leak. He did admit in writing in his email that there was an oil and coolant leak, but flat out denied that the leaks existed in the next sentence. I told Carl that I would pay the $30 for the test, but wanted him to take the truck to HIS mechanic because I had been advised not to drive the truck until the leaks were resolved to prevent possible further damage. Carl refused and told us to come get the truck with a tow truck. He then threatened to start charging us storage fees for the truck if we didn’t come and get it!! Finally, we called Carl’s mechanic and asked him to pick-up the truck on a tow truck and tow it to his shop and perform the tests. After performing the tests, Carl’s mechanic advised us that the truck required about $1600 in repairs before it would be safe to drive. We agreed to pay for the repairs and after the truck was taken apart to perform the repair the mechanic found that the EGR value was tampered with and altered, which is an emissions issue and had to be replaced as well. At the end of the day we are about $2200 in repairs to this vehicle that we do not even have possession of yet! Carl refuses to do anything for us related to the necessary repairs. Carl is not an honest business person and C&D Auto Exchange is NOT a good place to invest your hard earned money! They do not stand behind their vehicles and will not do anything to resolve your concerns!!! Please, please, please be very careful!!! I have receipts and emails as evidence of every word of this review and I will be happy to supply with copies of you ever find yourself wanting to do business at this dealership!!!
