Fenton Auto-Lab refuses to work on my vehicles.
I own a 2021 Honda CR-V that apparently needs a new starter. The engine, powered by a new battery, refuses to turn over. I called before I paid to have my car towed to Auto-Lab in Fenton, asking if the business would work on my car. "Joe" said yes. Also, I read on Auto-Lab's Web site that the facility works on Hondas. However, I received a call back from Joe saying that my Honda has "proprietary software" that prohibits Auto-Lab from fixing my car. Joe said I should have my car towed to a Honda dealer. However, Honda doesn't have a dealer in Fenton. The nearest one is in Brighton!
In the last year or so, I took my 2015 F-150 to the same Auto-Lab because the vehicle was having an electrical problem. That time, the guy behind the desk told me I should take my truck to a "body shop". I later had a mechanic fix my wiring.
Apparently, I have been banned from getting service at the Fenton Auto-Lab. If I somehow alienated Auto-Lab, the people there haven't told me what I have done.
Treating customers like they're dirt or stupid is a poor way to run a business.

Disaster
Customer service was lacking. Although I had an appointment, they did not have room for my vehicle. True customer service should have suggested a reschedule. Never mentioned. My car got into garage after 4 hours. They wanted to make everything my fault by saying they were trying to work with me. They had offered to give me the parts to take to a different facility, but that would require I try to get an appt elsewhere. I any taking a trip next week and that is why I 1) came in two weeks prior to make sure parts were available and 2) made an appt a week or so before I left.

Customer for life now
After spending 3k between 3 trips with 3 different reasons for the same problem, fenton auto lap found the issue for 240 bucks.

There prices have been hands down better than anywhere. $39 to diagnose unlike places charging 100+ an hour.

Had an issue, took my jeep, before I left the parking lot they came out and said they figured it out, no charge.

Wasted time, issue not resolved
Very unsatisfied with their services. I took the whole day off work, and the issue with my car wasn't fixed on the end of the day. They stated, the car runs okay, although I specifically told them what to fix. I don't think, I will use their services ever again.

Went in the have them check my brake pads. They said they were still good, and didn’t need to be replaced yet. I trust their opinion and I’m glad they didn’t try to get me to buy something that wasn’t necessary

Repairs and 100,000 mile check up

prompt quality service
I was impressed with the speed at which the basic wheel alignment and tie rod replacement was performed. The work was done correctly and the billed time was reasonable.

Does not honor warranty
Do not trust Fenton Auto Lab, they do not honor warranty agreements provided after repairs.
I had a battery fail that was under warranty and Fenton Auto lab told me they would order a new one and call me when it ready to come in and they would change it out. About 1 week later after no feedback and car would not start I called. They informed me that they changed battery suppliers, and I had to take car of it myself. I spoke to the owner Mike he told me he would help me to get this sorted to set up time with him and he would send someone with me. Of course, I called back several times and no return calls from the owner or effort to resolve. I removed the battery and took the battery to the supplier myself they exchanged without any issue and questioned me why Auto lab was not doing the warranty exchanges. I really could not answer of course Mike finally spoke to me after I a resolved everything and had to call again myself but offered nothing to me other than the situation could have been handled better when i told him this was not an acceptable way for me to have to do the work and warranty my the parts under Fenton Auto lab responsibility. They are not honest do not trust them take your business someplace else.
