I would like to take a second as a business owner and explain that "Parts Store Diagnostics" have been very problematic over the years. Many times have I had a customer come in and ask for a certain repair based on a system scan from a parts store, then we perform the repair only to find out that it did not fix the problem, and from that point I have had customers complain about being charged for something that did not fix the problem, even refuse to pay. Or worse yet leave a negative review and complain about me as if I were at fault. So over the years we have changed our policies. We believe that we deliver better service when we can guarantee the right fix! This comes from a guy that has been doing this for 35 years... So again I understand where you are coming from but ask that you understand why we have policies in place like this, none of which are to overcharge our customers I promise you that.
