We have an excellent reputation and do all we can to protect it. We interviewed all staff members involved in the repair of your 2009 Honda Civic. As with all of our customers, you were provided with an estimate for the necessary work to fix your disabled vehicle, which you approved prior to our technician fixing your car. We would never repair a vehicle without the owners authorization and suprise you with a bill when you come to pick it up. We reviewed your bill for accuracy and confirmed that you were charged correctly for the starter motor and battery we replaced on your vehicle. Please keep in mind that the rates in Mid-town Manhattan are higher than rates found outside the city. Located in Hell's kitchen, we are actually the lowest priced shop in our area. To be clear you were NOT charged for storage whatsoever. 54th Street Auto Center is not a parking garage, we are a very busy 24 hour emergency repair facility, located in Midtown Manhattan. Space in our garage is extremely limited, and we need as much space as possible to accommodate our customers who want their vehicles fixed ASAP.
called me at 9 am and told me it was ready. I told him I wouldn’t be out of work till later and was curious if I could pick it up the following morning. He said yeah as long as I’m okay with a $125 charge for holding the car. Who charges $125 for holding a car after you just paid $1K of work!? And we were never even told this upon the car being dropped off there that is would need To be picked up same day of service. These people are scumbags. Very greedy and just want your money. Not honest or truthful.
