My car was due for an oil-change, and I asked if I also needed to do the + $800 recommended repairs a
dealership uncovered whilst doing airbag recall work the previous week. The car didn't, so I was saved a large expense.

On Dec. 24 My wife and I were on our way to Newton for Christmas when a car accident on the MassPike
a few miles from Newton left us stranded 325 to 330 miles from home. Since we know no mechanics or repair shops in the area, our son reached out to Pleasant Car and Tire, which agreed to take the car for repair/storage until insurance was worked out, a process that took more than two weeks. During this time, Shawn, whom we have not met personally, maintained contact with us and the insurance adjustor. He was always available to answer our questions and took the time to discuss possible repairs and options while awaiting repair estimates. He was always upfront about the extent of damage and expectations. Thank you to Shawn and the entire crew at Pleasant Car and Tire. We would highly recommend them.

I feel the charges are reasonable and the work is good . Fortunately McCracken knew of a r
ecall on my Toyato that i had not been aware of. It could have been a very costly problem if McCracken had not brought this to my attention. It is being checked and it is all under warranty! Very appreciative!

On a really cold day I went out to find my battery had died. Someone jumped it for me but it was clea
r I needed a new one asap. A friend recommended Hometown, so I called. They fit me in with just a short wait. The fellows working there were professional, courteous, and honest. I would also recommend them in a heartbeat…and have already)!

I have a 19 year old Saturn with 234,000 miles on it and Boston Muffler is the only place I go to hav
e work done on it. The latest issue was the oil light coming on when I begin to drive it, despite the car being full of oil. Naturally I'm thinking the rings are gone and I'm looking at a HUGE bill that will likely mean the car is junk.
NOPE! Man replaced the oil pressure sensor and FIXED, back on the road!
Man is the man!!
