New car review
As with a new car, all seems just great. Only after driving the vehicle for some time, 6 months for me, little things not noticed at the onset are now less than pleasing. The Electric/Gas engine power systems are flawless, seamless and provide an amazing amount of power. I haven't driven the vehicle on a trip, say from Spokane to Seattle (300 miles), so no comment on distance traveling. However, the gas engine noise is tiresome and sounds like an old outboard motor, it should have been silenced!! The instrument panel is impressive and informative. The 'information' screen is large, well placed and relative easy to use. However, the down-side is that you cannot turn it off/blank it, if you choose to do so - day-time you just don't want to see it, night time if it is not dark enough, the glare is bothersome for the same reason. You seem to overdrive the headlights at the slow speed of 35 mph (56km/ph). Another major fault I find is the cruise control switches of which I use quite frequently, there is no 'tactual feel' to the switches. Otherwise, you have to look to see which switch you want. Totally unsatisfactory and a Major Down for me. The unlabeled steering wheel switches are tiresome. I don' use them as I don't have a clue as to what they do. The placement of the gas door and the way-back hatch switches are unbelievably placed, your cannot see them. Enough said.
