My troubled

Overall I like the car. I do have a couple of real ongoing issues with it that do not seem to be fix-able. The heat that comes out of the dash boar vents is a problem that only stops when the thru-cabin vent button is pushed. The biggest problem is the occasional shifting from D (drive) to 1 (first gear). I had it back to the dealer a couple of times but they want to see it happen before fixing it. I wonder if other owners are having this trouble?

“You need to take a break”

I get the message “ you need to take a break” 12 times in a 90 mile trip. Geive me an option to turn off that facial recognition camera !

Great car!

The Santa Fe continues to be a great car. This is my 3rd over the past 12 years. Unfortunately, it’s not up to the same standard as my precious 2. The ride is not quite as good and the transmission is really sloppy. On my 3rd recall. That being said, for what you are getting for the price is great.

SANTE FE MY DREAM CAR

IN ALL THE YEARS I'VE HAD HYUNDAI'S THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER HAD PROBLEMS, AND IT WAS A BAD BATTERY, FIXED IT NO CHARGE AND I'M ON MY WAY! HAPPY TO HAVE A SIMPLE PROBLEM FIXED, SO FAST!

Cup, charger area could use improving

Love this vehicle! BUT the interior of the doors, backs of the driver seats, even in the luggage area is very cheaply made. Any little rub against it scratches it.

Too much warranty work for a new vehicle

Love the comfort and the ride, but the fact that I had two service appointments for warranty work within the first few months of owning this new vehicle was frustrating.

Not completely satisfied,!

Well it drives well, but ever since I bought this vehicle Ibe had to take it several times into the shop because of its malfunction. I think it's been in 3 times and the dealership can not duplicate its problem. I just happened again 2 days ago where the engine light comes and and shakes my whole car where you can't drive it.

Everything we were looking for

We love the vehicle but here are the problems. A lot of recalls, tires are very sensitive to air pressure and they leak. WIndshield chips easily. And the most important one is, even though we love the car we probably will not buy another one Hyundai. You offer a lot of great benefits like a free loaner. That is useless to me when the dealership I bought my car from would only give me a loaner if I paid them an additional $900 at the time of purchase. I thought they were joking but everytime I take my car to them I ask for a loaner when warranty work is being done and they said I did not pay the required $900 at the time of purchase. Yet when I was out of town and had to use another Hyundai dealer to have warranty work done they gave me a loaner and I didn't even have to ask for it. They were great to deal with to. So no matter what you offer on your Hyundai website if you don't make your dealers back it up, and you don't it is of no use to me therefore your cars are of no interest to me either. That is the way it is. And I make sure to tell everyone about that. Unless I move to another city I won't be buying another Hyundai.

Great vehicle. Lacks some features and power

Great vehicle. Lacks some features and power. All vehicles, especially for 35-40k, should have blind spot, 360 and rear view mirror cameras. The Santa Fe should also have ventilated seats and this trim level. Also the HP and torque is horrible. The HP should be around 400 that’s what the Explorer ST has. Also should have removable doors and top and just more off roading capacities.

Not Great

Transmission shifts funny, auto start/stop is horrible, blower motor does not work properly, big discrepancy on oil changes - are they 8000 miles like the dealership says or are they 6000 miles like the car says? Constantly recalled. Infotainment system seems like an afterthought and is not user-friendly.
