Love My 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid…But…

I love the way it feels. Suspension is great without being mushy. Seats, legroom, and headroom are more than ample for my 6’4”frame. Back seat passengers compliment me on the comfort. But: on 100% of first drives of the day, the engines (or transmission?) surges. Next: infotainment system can be really confusing - even just to bring up the radio. Next: I HATE having a 3rd row seat. In my precious 2022 Santa Fe, there was a ton of storage under the rear deck. Now - zero. There should be an option to not have that seat for those of us who don’t need it.

I am extremely happy with this vehicle

I have just over 2000 miles on my Santa Fe Hybrid and I really can't say enough good things about it! I got it in the tail end of a New England winter and it has handled the conditions very well. I am a huge fan of both the exterior and interior styling. The cabin is fantastically comfortable and the tech is a standout for the price point.

Had issues at the start

Interior: The interior and technology are luxurious and top-notch. The tech is by far and away the selling point of this car. From the ACC to the personalization by driver, the placement of seat controls and charging outlets, the footrests, and the spaciousness, everything is top-notch. The one drawback is the seat comfort, which is a bit too firm for me. Exterior: It is a polarizing look, but definitely get used to it with some niceties like the handholds for climbing to the roof Enging: Less mpg than you'd expect for a hybrid, the gear shifting is extremely noticeable, and at times, a bit sluggish. Pickup is ok, certainly for the size of the car, but the mpg is not as advertised. City - I typically get 28-30; highway, I get 23-24. All in said, I am pleased with the car, but it has its issues. As someone who came from Honda for multiple previous cars, this was a bit of a step down in performance and reliability (I've been to the dealership 2x for fixes in under 3k miles put on the car) but a significant step up in luxury feel inside.

2025 Santa Fe Review

I like everything about this vehicle except the seats. The seats are terrible. I'm a large man and the seats are causing my right hip to burn and causes severe pain after about 15 minutes. I've had to buy a pad and seat cover to try to reduce the problem. My wife is small 5' 3" and about 100 pounds and the right passenger seat is to deep and causes pain on the back of her knees. Also, her seat does not provide sufficient cushioning and causes her pain. Another issue is the captains seats in the second roll. The seat are too narrow for booster seats. To buckle the seat belt I have to pull the booster seat to the side to access the seat belt latch. Other than the seats I find I really like this car. The hybrid drive is very smooth and quiet. The handling is quite good and the space is great.

2025 Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid

I have driven it 3,760 miles. One round trip 1100 miles. I get 37 miles to the gallon around town. The mileage on interstates at 80 mph is around 22-24. I have no complaints except one, there is no spare tire. If you are on a trip 70 miles from civilization, that's a huge problem. There are spaces where there is no cell service. Those little spray bottles to seal a leak are worthless. I love the electronics, charging stations for phones, voice commands, etc. State of the art. It will drive itself, and though I don't take my hands off the wheel, on long drives I can look around at the sites without veering off the road or into traffic and it is less tiring on a long drive.

Santa Fe—great vehicle for comfort/safety!

Currently we have over 6000 miles on this Santa Fe hybrid. The only shortcoming is touch pad for heated seats, AC, etc. Fingerprints and sunlight make it difficult to see. Choices are too close? The symbol to lower fan is right next to heated steering wheel. A passenger is needed to make selections for this driver.
