Hyundai Santa Cruz: The Compact Truck That Changes the Game
I purchased my 2025 Santa Cruz new and have been impressed so far. The turbocharged engine feels lively, balancing power and fuel efficiency well. Handling is car-like, which makes it easy to park and drive in town. The Limited trim offers premium interior materials, intuitive tech, and lots of included features that other brands charge extra for.
The cargo bed is versatile — the sliding bed extender is a smart touch — and the truck comes loaded with modern safety features like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. Styling is distinctive and stands out compared to options like the Maverick.
My biggest complaints are minor: fitting a rear-facing baby seat in the back is tight, and most dealer models don’t include a trailer hitch standard. Also, some dealership add-ons feel like filler (cargo nets, first aid kits, etc.).
Overall, I’d definitely recommend the Santa Cruz to anyone looking for a compact truck that mixes comfort, style, and practicality.
