Brand new car with engine issues
Leased a new 2026 kona new off the lot, have constant system engine warnings and check oil warnings multiple times over a few weeks even after taking the car back to dealership.
My main issue was while driving on the freeway: the car jerked forward/quickly lost momentum in a split second then caught itself back again and I heard the engine skip/stall while I was driving on the freeway going apx 70mph.
It also never picked up speed well enough and constantly heard the engine struggle when trying to pick up speed from either a stop light or stop sign.
Engine system failure light came on 3-4 times and I was taking the car back to the dealership every week. After about a month I returned the car back to the dealership to switch to another car.
