Traded my 2021 Kona in for a 2025 Kona and couldn't be happier

Comfortable ride. There is only one thing that I liked with my 2021 Kona and that was when you unlock your doors only the drivers side door would unlock. For safety reasons I don't like that the with the new Kona all of the doors unlock at the same time.

Have not encountered any problems to date. Vented seats in FL are a real plus. The car is like my phone as I have yet to discover all the features. Enjoy the 360 degree view when parking.

Fun to drive and Dealer service is excellent

Had problems with the battery the first three weeks of new car ownership. Dead battery after first three weeks and then again after another three weeks after being charged and checked at Dealer. Both times the Hyundai Road service and the Dealer were fixed the problem at no charge to me. Service was quick and down time minimal. Defective battery in a new car.

Poor Acceleration

Poor acceleration. It gives when accelerating. The design team should have kept the design of the front door windows. It restricts ease of entering and departing the vehicle.

We really enjoy having this vehicle. Good gas milage & handling

The only thing we don't appreciate is the lack of heated front seats, which we had in the Sonata we traded in. That only matters in cold weather, though, so it is minor.

Comfortable and Stylish but with some flaws

I've generally enjoyed owning my 2025 Hyundai Kona. It's fun to drive, looks sharp, and the overall ride quality and comfort have been great for my needs. The tech and safety features are appreciated, and for the most part, it feels like a solid, thoughtfully designed vehicle. That said, there’s one issue that has been especially frustrating—and I hope it can be addressed in a future update. Apple CarPlay causes problems when I try to record voice memos on my iPhone. The recordings come out distorted or unclear while connected to CarPlay in my Kona, which doesn’t happen in other vehicles I use. I rely on voice memos regularly, and this issue really interferes with that. I’ve tested the same phone in other cars, and it works perfectly, so it seems like something specific to the Kona’s CarPlay system. I've also seen other Kona and Hyundai owners online reporting connectivity issues or odd behavior with Apple CarPlay—so I know I'm not alone in this. I’d really love to see Hyundai investigate and fix this, because the rest of the experience has been great. Reliable voice features are a basic expectation with modern vehicles, and when they don't work as intended, it takes away from the overall value of the car.
