One month old and,

Kona had a complete malfunction and rendered the car inoperable--Shifter System Malfunction. Had to use roadside assistance. Had to wait two weeks for the part.

Happy with Kona!

Our only complaint would be the Adaptive Cruise Control. Very slow to react and when it does it over reacts. Algorithms need to be adjusted for real world driving. A little under powered.

Not happy with the restyling of the Kona

First, the shifting "paddle" or whatever you call it is always hidden by the steering wheel when parked. When starting the car, you have to move the wheel to see the lever. And the D and R letters are counter-intuitive to me and others I have spoken to. Maybe its a cultural thing but it doesn't seem natural and I have to, EVERY TIME I SHIFT, look to see that I'm shifting into the gear. More than once, have gone the wrong way - I HATE IT. Start button - again, hidden by the steering wheel, which seems thicker to me so it obviously covers more area. Too big a screen, too much stuff on it, dangerous to try to see all the choices while driving. Do we really need all these bells & whistles? They take away our attention while driving rather than help us. Yes, once we get them loaded into the car, but again do we need all this? I can't seem to find how to keep the mileage/miles gone/average mileage from being deleted, on the trip computer, every time I stop the car on a trip. The very small section in the manual I found doesn't tell me much. What I do like: it is bigger and I feel safer although the design looks like a tank to me (my car is gray). I like the paddles that downshift as I live where there are a lot of hills. Gas mileage is pretty good. Quiet, comfortable, roomy ride.
