So far this car has been wonderful! The only issues I have are from not knowing how everything works, but that’s down to me not spending enough time reading up on all the multiple features.

Great car, plenty of seating room

The Ionic 9 is like spaceship - it is so cool, comfortable and with bells and whistles. Passengers in the back and the front have their own controls. The seats can be heated or cooled. The mileage range so far has been spot on. There is an overabundance of safety cameras - but despite that the warning beeps and vibrations are sometimes over stimulation and hard to hard with what the "danger" is you are being warned about. It is also a bit wide and hard to make tight turns. There is also a tire key that I was not given when I bought the car so they could not rotate my tires - that needs to be solved. I love the screen, the wifi, the seats, the moonroof just about everything. The trunk doesn't not have much room but I am guessing that was sacrificed for ample seating space. The Frunk - front trunk has enough space for a purse which is disappointing. Overall would I buy this again - probably because we needed the seating space and my family is TALL and the EV is fantastic. They need to add more EV charging stations to the search map because if they don't appear in their system then you can't use them and there's no way to contact customer service for help. That being said so far I have not run out of range. I love this car.

Excellent 3-row electric

Incredibly spacious with a useable third row even for medium sized adults. Power and range are excellent and charging speeds are impressive. The software however is very underwhelming, for example: SiriusXM layout and detail is awful. Most of the time there is no way to see the full title of what’s playing. The design of the gear shift is downright dangerous and should at a very minimum be a rotating knob like kias. There are too many features hidden in the highest trims: for instance, digital phone key. The physical key on this car would be subpar for a $20,000 vehicle. The dealer had no idea how to operate the vehicle and didn’t even realize it came with a charger. Our 3rd party charger died within 3 months. The V2L adapter should be included.

Ioniq 9

Not built for short people. Blind spots in front left drivers side. Recommended to have seat go up higher. Drive range seems high but decreases quicker than expected on highway.

Great Car, bad cup holders

The car is great and has all the features anyone could want. The cup holders in the back seat are not the greatest since it’s in the door. I am envisioning a drink spilling at some point due to door closing. Also the fake electric car sound is really loud and everyone looks at me when I’m driving in a parking lot.

Wonderful Vehicle for our family

Drives great, very comfortable, the kids fit with all their friends and gear. Only drawbacks so far is the Antenna for the Radio cuts out consistently and the rearview camera is very foggy and hard to use especially at night.

Hyundai cannot be trusted

We purchased our new Ioniq 9 in May with the promise of the $7,500 EV Tax Credit. Unfortunately, Hyundai's dealership was not competent enough to file the required paperwork for the Tax Credit thus making our vehicle ineligible for the EV Credit and directly causing us a $7,500 loss. Hyundai USA Consumer Affairs told us for five months that they would resolve this situation but have failed to do so. They have now told us to sue their dealership if we want to recover our Tax Credit. As first time Hyundai car buyers, my wife and I (and anyone we know, work with, or ever talk to) will NEVER buy a Hyundai again.

Almost perfect but service is bad

I purchased a Hyundai ioniq Ev 9, Vin 7YAMWFS54TY003719, on June 13, 2025. In early August, a component suffered severe damage: the plastic panel surrounding the front camera was severely damaged and cracked, with five symmetrical cracks appearing along the entire panel. On August 13, I had the car inspected by the sales and repair departments, who concluded that someone had struck the panel. They refused to grant me a warranty. This conclusion is unacceptable. I filed a complaint with BAR, and the mediator agreed that the panel had no obvious signs of damage. However, they replied that they could not force the after-sales service to grant me a warranty. This result is also unacceptable. I am awaiting Hyundai recall or warranty.

My Hyundai Ioniq 9 Calligraphy in Ionosphere Green with Black interior

I love everything about my new electric Hyundai Ioniq 9. I'm still learning about all the things it can do and read the manuals several times a week. I wasn't pleased when I noticed the back door lower panel shows small indentations around the areas where the metallic-looking 'Ioniq 9' letters are imprinted onto that back panel. Likewise, I think it must be a manufacturing error, but the dealership I purchased it from is willing to do little to help me correct it. In the past two weeks I've noticed a whining noise coming from the right front tire motor area. I have a sound file of that sound, which increasingly gets louder, but I see no way here to attach that sound file. I have an appointment scheduled after I went in to my local dealership so they could look at it. It bothers me that my local dealership really doesn't know much about the new Ioniq 9 electric vehicles. They told me it is just the sound of the electric motor, which I know isn't true because it hasn't made that sound until the last few weeks. I'm worried that they don't yet have the skill and knowledge to fix it, so I wonder where I can go next, or what I can do next, to get the noise repaired. I suspect it is the right front motor that is making the noise (I have a motor on each of the 4 wheels). HELP! Where can I take my car to someone or some place that is an expert in fixing my electric car?

Amazing vehicle for the money!

It's a fantastic vehicle to drive. Feels super luxurious for far less money than a Cadillac. Disappointed in the lane-centering and the lack of level 2+ hands-free apparently not in development for the '26 vehicle. Autonomous driving is the future so being able to market a vehicle that is ready for that is a must for our next purchase (3 year lease).
