Elantra N Just to much fun

this is my 6th new Hyundai and my 3 N so you could say i believe in Hyundai brand I have never had a problem that Bentley Hyundai has not solved . I have had more than 30 cars in my life and Hyundai is the best i have ever had. Great cars and Great people a solid combination with Great potential , Keep doing what you are doing it works!

Love it!

This is my second Elantra N and It is great. This car is the perfect idea of an all around everyday driver that also gets down to business with performance. The technology in the car is amazing, it’s got plenty of room and space, and the handling is excellent. Very impressed with Hyundai and what they’ve been doing.

Alot of bang for the buck

The car is alot of fun.. Sporty, practical, and somewhat different then anything else in this price point. It's amazingly simple when it comes to changing the oil, and the active exhaust and dampers make it alot of fun to fiddle around with. It's like your favorite video game, but in a car that you drive every day. Great job Hyundai.. This is my first Hyundai, but it won't be my last.

The vehicle is very fun, there are kinks about it however such as some of the interior build quality is not the best with many squeaks and sounds whilst driving. However overall driving performance and experience negates most of those

Trouble Since Day One

This is a beautiful vehicle, however it has already qualified for LemonLaw before 1500 miles. The third brake light does not work. It has been in the shop 5 times. On top of that the dealership we bought it at has caused additional issues with car while it was in their care including hail damage and getting it into an accident.Hyundai wants us to pay them 5k to "buy the car back". Not a fair offer given the multiple circumstances. As someone who has been loyal to the brand and purchased 6 cars in the last 3 years from them, I would hope they would do something to make this situation right.

The perfect attainable dream car. A beast on the track and the road

This car is the best value to performance ratio you can get. The exhaust and engine sounds better than any other 4cyl on the market, the pops and bangs give it so much more personality than it's competitors. Everytime I get into this car I have to pinch myself to remind myself I'm not dreaming. The warranty was also a huge part of my purchasing decision. I have been a lifelong diehard Honda guy through and through. I've only ever had Honda's and I maintain them the same way I would a Ferrari or collector's car, so they always last and look great over the years. I intend on doing the same with this car. My only small gripes are 1. The pain is WAY too thin and sensitive. No matter what microfiber I use, it will leave microscratches. I've purchased the most expensive non scratch one's on the market and they still scratch this paint. Simply closing the door and placing your hand on the paint will leave micro marring and scratches. This combined with the numerous piano black trim pieces make me afraid to touch the car! I had to shell out $1,500 to get the front end and the rear wing PPF'd for peace of mind... which I did not like. 2. The DCT is...loud. It clatters and clanks constantly and I even brought it in to the dealership fearing something was really wrong with it. This is my first DCT so perhaps coming from traditional automatics it will take getting used to but I'm at 2,500 miles now and it still irks me so much. I have resorted to just having music on while I drive so I don't hear it, as the transmission functions perfectly fine. I do worry about it breaking in the near future, but the warranty helps give me some peace of mind. I do wish it came with performance all season tires instead of the summer only tires because along with the PPF it's another large expense you'll need to incur if you leave anywhere that has winter. I absolutely love my intense blue color with the red trim. The light blue stiches on the seat are unreal. Overall this car punches way above its weight class and is absolutely, my dream car. I'm so grateful to have it.

Best performer for the money on earth.

I am amazed at the performance and feel of the Elantra N! The classic BMW feel is obvious. Couldn’t be happier, and this is coming from a former owner of 3 M3s, a GT350, a 718 Spyder, and a CT5V Blackwing. Crazy.

Fun, sporty and practical

The vehicle is sporty, fun and practical. The seats hold well, the interior is beautiful and well arranged. The parking sensor re-engaging after starting is annoying but I understand why it does that. The gaps in the body panels are not what I would expect from a new car, but at 35k I can live with it. The shifter of the manual isn't the best, but again I can't complain too much. It does it's job. The performance and practicality is unmatched per dollar. I dont agree with putting Summer tires on any car from the factory, but I also understand how important tires are for performance. But when it's below 40 the tires are bricks, and I bought my car in February. I would rather have a high performance all season than a summer tire. Had a little high pitch chirping from a belt with less than 2000 miles but it seems to have gone away with time. Overall a great car and I am super happy with my purchase. The octane learning is super annoying to try to get it to work, but it is a great feature. I just wish it would actually work every time as long as you followed the instructions per the manual. The front of the car looks great. The side profile is good, the rear is way too busy with too many angles and sharp edges going on in my opinion. Again things I can overlook for performance per dollar. The one thing that does really bother me is the pedal setup. On a performance N car i want the ability to heel-toe shift effortlessly. The gas pedal is way too low for the majority of people to be able to do this and that is one of the fun parts of driving a manual.

Great fun to drive with the practicality/affordability of a 4 door

I love it, but it's not perfect. A check engine light at 2500 miles is skewing my opinion of the car, but besides that I'm not sure if this is for everyone. With that said, what's great about it is you can turn it into a track monster OR leave it in Standard or Comfort mode and it really behaves itself quite well.

Incredible performance at a great price

This car can do it all. It can be a comfortable daily cruiser with room for 2 car seats and 30+ mpg. Or an absolute riot with 276 hp, sticky tires, and an engine that revs to the moon. You pick.

Passenger rear tail light defective.

Passenger right rear tail light defective. Water and moisture pool in the tail light every time I wash my car and stays there until the next car wash. Only 1200 miles on the car.

An amazing car for the value

It's not a Toyota(sorry), but it's the next best thing, and I'd say in many ways it's better. I am absolutely blown away by what Hyundai has done with their styling, as well as combining that with the overall usability of the vehicle. Against its competitors, the Elantra N makes more sense, not only for it's value, but what it offers as a daily driver. Not only am I happy not to be spending close to $50,000, but the car also does both sport driving as well as daily commuter/taking a road trip combined better than what I would find with any other brand. I'm only recently(as of 2021) a fan of Hyundai. I wouldn't call myself a brand loyalist, however after owning a 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL as well as now my 2025 Elantra N, I very much feel that Hyundai is the leader right now in the car industry with what's being done. I'd also like to note, user serviceability. I think Hyundai is doing better than most(if not all) brands here, which will keep me purchasing their cars, knowing I can work on my own car once my warranty/service expires. Lastly, I marked repeatability as an 8 since I haven't had the car for many miles yet. I had my previous SEL for 72,000 miles and only experienced an odd issue with the engine thermostat. However the drive train looks very well put together, and I've seen great success with other Hyundai models throughout the years, so I suspect I should be fine with my current car for quite some time. Please keep this stride Hyundai, as this is what I think people really want. Almost all other reviews I've seen for this car from various sources are overwhelmingly positive.
