Excellent design. Poor MPG

Features, looks, ride. All excellent. There is next to no leg room in the back seat, but that is pretty standard for this size sedan. The 2.0L turbo gets just 22 MPG around town. My previous car had same size motor with 50 extra horse power and got 29MPG. That is a significant extra cost of ownership and Genesis needs to find a solution. Otherwise, this car gets 5 stars from me.

An unbeatable combination of power, performance, and luxury

I was in the market for a sports sedan. I cross-shopped against several direct and indirect competitors. Two noteworthy 'alt' choices I considered were the BMW i4 M50 and the Volvo V70 Polestar. I decided I wasn't ready to commit to a battery car, eliminating the BMW i4 M50. The Volvo V70 Wagon Polestar was a close second, but I decided that I already had a performance SUV and didn't want to spend $70k+. The Genesis met all my criteria in terms of value, power, luxury, performance, and a timeless interior that will look good next decade. Ideally, I would have bought a BMW M340 xi, but the wife wanted something more discreet, something without the badge snobbery that screams keeping up with the Joneses. I just wish the back seat had more leg room for adults and teenagers.

Car drives great. Very comfortable. Lots of great features. I feel there should be more leg room for passengers in the back seat.

Beautiful car

I love the red detail in my car and the overall appearance. It also handles nicely. I wish the windshield was a bit more chip resistant as I’ve already got several chips. Also better wiper blades would be nice. I would’ve also liked no obstruction by the rearview mirror. The big black box is annoying to look at. Also need more leg room in the back. Too many cars with a similar logo. Need a new logo. I like that there is none on the back of the car.

Genesis builds great autos for the price but their dealers are weak at customer service compared to other manufacturers.

Genesis G70-great looking car and engine but poor economy and cramped

Beautiful car, engine is powerful and responsive. Comfortable ride. Gas economy awful, very cramped in the rear seats, trunk space too small, dealership experience not the best (especially compared to Lexus) - no loaners, long waits for service appointment (weeks).

Nice looking car but Needs Fine Tuning

Car looks great has all of the bells and whistles.we had issues with the engine over 6 months. Thank god there is a lemon law in NYS.

Comfortable capable and confident

I love my G70 it’s the perfect mix of familiarity yet stunning looking without trying to be overly luxurious. I’m still youthful at heart and my car feels like the designers thought about me and built it just for me. I get raving compliments often and it makes me feel great which confirms I made the right purchase.

Very happy with car. Great interior fit and finish.

Overall, I like the car a lot. The two biggest drawbacks is the lack of backseat space and the lack of range based on small gas tank and poor gas mileage.

My Genny is CPO. It's the base model, but it's still the fastest car I've owned. The leatherette is honestly impressive.

Classy dependability

I really enjoy my Genesis G70. It is gas efficient, take the lowest grade gas, yet has many luxury features that make the ride comfortable and convenient. I would definitely buy this car again and/or would definitely get the next model up if my budget would allow.

Nice Vehicle

Over all satisfied with all aspects of vehicle . Vehicle was out of alignment when purchased new , Dealership said it was not . Took it to Franks Brake and Alignment to fix . Ruined 2 sets of rear tires before I had it corrected . Assisted driving mod has a tendency to shoot toward exits when there is a break in line . Same thing when passing trucks the vehicle sometimes veers toward the truck especially flatbeds maybe because the shadow causes a break in the lines vehicle is tracking .

Luxury in marketing and asthetics only.

Nearly 2 years in, so many annoyances. Overly sensitive electronics: - parking sensors that trigger the camera while stopped for traffic. No vehicles, objects or anything nearby, just randomly triggered all the time. - lane assist that can't seem to be fully turned off - daylight sensor turns lights off/on within seconds of a change in light. God forbid it is dawn or dusk, then it just ping-pongs for 20 minutes. Quality concerns: - paint chips galore. I think the first chip was within 2 days of getting the vehicle. My driving area or style hasn't changed. Paint process is clearly not as durable like other luxury brands. - shattered wheel. This vehicle is driven almost entirely in Michigan, the roads can be challenging. Ran over what would be considered a pretty moderate pothole at highway speed in the winter, and a LARGE chunk of the wheel was shattered off. Never seen anything like it, and has never happened with any other vehicle I've had in my 35 years driving. - tires burned out fast. The factory installed tires were completely shot by 15,000 miles and needed to be replaced. I do not drive this vehicle hard AT ALL. Service: - Why offer concierge service when NO LOCAL DEALERS will offer appointments for 3-5 months out. For an oil change. Unbelievable.
