Lesson learned!
I have written a review before but I feel like I need to rewrite it to let consumers know so they don’t end up in the same situation I’m in. I would never buy a used vehicle from Wendell at the Y ever again and as I look back I should have been smarter there were multiple red flags. Maybe when you buy new it’s different.
They sell it by telling you that they do a very thorough inspection on all of their used vehicles I forgot how many points it was but they sold us telling us how well they inspect vehicle’s. I trusted them big mistake. It started when we did the test drive and I noticed the rotors and brakes had issues I said something and they agreed to fix it that would be the first red flag. Second the transmission fluid was dirty they also agreed to change that second red flag. They agreed to fix those things when we bought it the next red flag was when I was stranded with my kids three days later and had to call for a jump when the guy told me my battery had expired two years previous. All of those should have been caught in their inspection! They should have fixed all those things before we even came to buy a vehicle. A year later I find out that there was a string holding my oil sending unit, they should’ve seen that in their inspection. Now I sit with an almost $6000 bill to fix their laziness. All of these things should have been seen in their thorough inspection they say they do. I am writing this so a consumer doesn’t make the same stupid mistakes I did!
I cannot recommend that anybody buy a vehicle from Wendale at the Y!

Original post: They sold it with a string holding the oil pressure sensor together, now I have more problems from their lack of thorough inspection. They reassured us they checked it out but there was string holding it together.
Bought a used suburban last year, put 10,000ish miles on it. Now it’s in the shop, and the mechanic could not believe he found it with a string on it to make it work. And because it was not working properly it has caused more problems.
We called Wendel and got a run around, transferring us from one dept to the next. No one could say anything. They never even asked for our name!
There was no good will, you should check your records better. You tried to sell it with bad breaks and rotors. And the fluid need changed on transmission. Upon buying it you agreed to do that. Sorry about your bad luck.
Alex Sanchez did everything to get our business but acted like he didn't know us when we bought the vehicle. We got two keys that didn't work to begin with and all they could say is sorry about your bad luck.
I'm not satisfied at all and I will not be telling anyone to shop for their next car here if that's how it works.

It was easy making the appointment. I took my Ford focus in to have the snow tires taken off, the regular tires put on, mount & balance & filled with nitrogen. In & out, in about 1 1/2 hrs, great service.

Faheem was awesome! We called to meet with him to test drive vehicles and see what he could do. He worked magic! He found us the a 2017 white Nissan Rogue in a matter of 10 minutes. And during the test drive we fell in love. Faheem answered all of our questions, and explained even more if my wife didn't understand. We ran numbers, started paperwork and then my wife saw the blue one and had to have it, but didn't care for the black handles. So faheem drive us around the parking lot until we found a blue one with silver handles and a roof rack! He started the paperwork and we were in and out within a few hours! Faheem customer service was over the top. He set up all the Bluetooth and phone options with my wife and we're on our way. Faheem will be our go to guy from now on for us, our families, and our friends! Thanks again Wendle and especially Faheem for making this all happen on your day off!!!!!!
