Poor service provided by the owner
I've had a lot of work done on my van at North Hills Auto with no problems up to this point, and probably wouldn't write this review if it wasn't for the way the owner himself treated me, in front of other customers. My Chrysler Town and Country had an alternator change approximately every 18 months for 6 years. This part came with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor, so other than losing my van for a day to replace it it was fine. Well this last time wasn't the same. After receiving a phone call saying they weren't going to change it this time because of an oil leak. Even though it had a lifetime warranty. Keep in mind my van has had the same oil leak for 3 years, which is very manageable and not worth fixing. That being said, I changed it myself and called back to get a refund on the alternator because it was lifetime warrantied. The gentleman I spoke to agreed with me and asked me to stop by and pick up a check for the amount I paid. Well upon doing that, I was greeted by the Owner who made the decision not to pay for the part. His words were " we changed it 4 times and we're not changing it again, you're welcome". Please keep in mind the 3rd time it was changed they figured out the root cause. This vehicle required an OE alternator instead of an aftermarket, and still put the aftermarket on anyway. So of course the problem was for sure going to come back again. This Owner is very rude and unprofessional. How do you sell parts that are lifetime warranty and lie about it. On top of that they should have told me the last time it was changed, that this is it. Rather than hit me while I was down.
