I can not and I will not go back to this shop ever again unless I know for a fact that the same people don’t work there anymore ! I tried using this shop twice but each time I went there I had a bad and different experience . The last time I went there which was in the month of June . There’s a young white man that works the front counter who shipped me to wait on a white couple . I said excuse me but I was next . This guy seemed seriously offended by me addressing my position in line . I noticed that he wanted to get rid of me by trying to talk me into leaving my car instead of waiting on it in the lobby . Next he came up with three different reasons about what was wrong with my car . He also wanted me to leave a deposit for the parts before he worked on my car or order the parts ! When I made the decision to leave the shop and I had gotten home; my husband found a major part missing off my car . Long story short; because I am a black woman and I had to go back to the shop for the missing part;we had to call the cops to ensure me of receiving my part back . People please be cautious when using this shop ! I do not recommend using this shop at all . There other shop in Suwanee is way more friendlier to deal with . My car did not sound right after leaving this shop, but after visiting the other shop in Suwanee my car sounds like it’s old self . I could not rest well at night after dealing with this place .

We take accusations of racism and theft extremely seriously — especially when they are false, inflammatory, and damaging to the reputations of honest professionals.

This reviewer visited our facility in June, declined all recommendations for necessary repairs, and left with her vehicle fully intact except for a small, cosmetic plastic cover that was accidentally left off by one of our technicians. That piece was returned immediately without hesitation once the oversight was brought to our attention.

What is important to clarify here is that rather than calling us or asking to speak to a manager, this customer escalated the situation by calling the Gwinnett County Police, alleging that our shop “stole” a $5 plastic part — a ridiculous claim, especially against a business that services thousands of vehicles each year and generates over $6 million in annual revenue.

Our team, including the young service advisor she referred to, acted with complete professionalism throughout the visit, despite the fact that she was rude, confrontational, and accusatory toward multiple members of our staff. Her behavior was not only disrespectful, but disruptive to our operation and other customers present at the time. Even the responding officers acknowledged the situation for what it was.

We stand behind our staff and their integrity. We will not allow anyone — regardless of background — to mistreat or falsely accuse our employees of serious wrongdoing without evidence.

Let it be publicly stated: this customer is no longer welcome at our facility or on our property. Any future attempt to enter our premises will be considered trespassing and will be handled by law enforcement immediately.

Great service and staff!
I went in with limited time, but Jason made it very easy for me to use my time efficiently by offering me to use an empty, quiet office where I worked comfortably! Instead of just getting an oil change for 1 1/2 hours to avoid waiting 2 1/2 hours to add a transmission fluid flush, his limited staff of 2 worked very diligently to finish both services in just 2 hours! I really appreciated that, especially saving me a second trip to get the second service done.
I will definitely return to J.A.R. for my future service needs, and recommend them to anyone I know in need of a car maintenance/repair company!

Great Customer Service
We had a great experience at Japanese Auto Repair. I cannot say enough about the customer service and the communication! We worked with Jason and he was the best! He went out of his way to communicate and explain everything to me - and tolerated all of my questions! Highly recommend!
