I have a 2017 G80 with a couple of recalls, so I scheduled maintenance and asked if they would update my maps/ navigation. I also have an oil warning light on.
When I arrived, the service advisor (Logan) stated he did not have a data drive with updated maps because Genesis stopped sending out updates after five years, and the vehicle's computer was obsolete. The advisor said that he could update the maps for $225/HR plus the price of a thumb drive, or I could go home and attempt to do it myself.
Again, the cost to diagnose the oil light is $225/HR. I inquired why the price was so high and mentioned Christian Brothers' only being $178/HR, plus they will roll that cost into the repair. The advisor stated that the local average is $180/HR, but Genesis of Littleton is firm on the $225/HR.
Every other word the advisor said was about charging me, including the Lyft ride home. Again, Christian Brothers do not charge for their courtesy rides.
The service advisor also refused to send me a detailed estimate of recommended services.
Based on their nickel-and-dime practices and lack or professionalism, I can not recommend Genesis of Littleton.
