Fixed up my Lexus CT 200
I had some basic service work to the car had 90,000 miles. I also had a drain plug leak. They fixed me up really well and were able to use a washer they had in the shop to fix my leak and charge me less so really great.

Smog trst
Needed smog test for wife’s car , called 5-Star like I do for all our cars, wether simple smog test, oil change or major brake job. Task was performed and back on the road. I have taken my cars to 5 Star for over 20 years and have never been disappointed in the service provided.

Reliable and trustworthy
I don’t go to Chris because I’m looking for the biggest savings. (I think that’s a big mistake, no matter what type of service your taking about…)
I go to Five Star because I trust Chris and the service he provides (for both my private and fleet vehicles).
At the end of the day, what do you want from an automotive service center. A vehicle you the don’t have to worry about, or a service you can say “was cheap”.
If you want cheap, go to Walmart.
If you want honest, reliable service you can count on, go to Five Star Auto!

Five Star Automotive: Where Honesty Still Exists!
Let me tell you—Five Star Automotive is the real deal.

I originally took my car to Big O in Pleasanton because my check engine light came on. After their inspection, they hit me with the big bad news: “You’ve got a blown head gasket. That’ll be $3,500.” Yikes. I told them I’d think about it, and not five minutes after leaving their shop, my car started overheating. I had to pull over, get it towed back home to Patterson, and try not to cry into my steering wheel.

The next morning, I brought it to Five Star Automotive for a second opinion—without telling them anything about the first shop’s diagnosis. And guess what? Turns out Big O left my coolant cap off. That alone caused the overheating. No blown head gasket. Just a lazy mistake.

Even when I mentioned I was worried it might be a blown head gasket (still not revealing the Big O drama), Five Star said, “No problem, we’ll double-check.” They ran another test just to be thorough, and sure enough—my engine is perfectly fine.

Aaron kept me in the loop the whole time with daily updates, clear timelines, and no BS. The repairs were quick, the price was right, and best of all? They were honest. Like, actually honest. No scare tactics. No upselling. Just solid, trustworthy work.

It’s rare to find an auto shop you feel safe with. But this place? This place has earned my business for life.

Positive experience
Staff is extremely kind and helpful. They also make you feel really comfortable. The service I received was even more than I expected. The under base was loose and they fixed it for me when I went in for a smog check. Thank you!
