AWESOME SERVICE, GREAT COMMUNICATION
I was coming home from Busch Gardens. My jeep overheated. I had it towed in. They found the problem, along with a sticking caliper. Brake pads below state inspection requirement. Several other issues. Work was completed in a timely manner. My Jeep is running great. Hats off to Sherry and the crew there.

State Inspection
I was able to drop my car off to get my State Inspection done. It didn’t pass inspection because I needed 4 new tires. I thank Carlton’s Auto Service for letting me know because if your tires are not okay, that’s a safety risk. I put 4 new tires on my car & dropped it back off at Carlton’s. They do great work on your vehicle.

Carlton’s Auto Service is a top notch company.
I have been living in Colonial Heights for 4 years now. I had been to other service companies in this area and found that they were charging me for work they never did. My neighbor told me about Carlton’s and found them to be honest and trustworthy. Their work was above my expectations.

Honest and Dependable
I love taking my vehicles to John who owns this business. He is honest and works with me when it comes to repairs, oil changes, and tires. His prices are fair and not over-inflated. He and his his employees are polite and friendly. I recommend making an appointment since they are always very busy.

First Experience at Carlton’s
Having moved to the Richmond area just last year, we chose Carlton’s based on a lifelong resident’s recommendation. Travel time for us to Carlton’s from our home is around 30 minutes. We called and arranged to drop our new truck off for an oil change and tire rotation at the business early in the morning on Friday, June 9. Within a couple of hours we received a text saying our vehicle was done. We traveled back to Carlton’s at 12:30pm and found all of the doors closed and locked. When looking through the main door the receptionist, who was eating at the main counter, opened the door and stated the business was closed for lunch. Upon asking we were told it was closed until 1:30pm. She was not friendly and offered no further explanation nor options. Note: no where on the building, not in the text, nor on Carlton’s info on the internet is a closing for lunch listed. We returned later in the day and were met at the desk by the same receptionist. She gave us the price, told us to sign our receipt, and handed us a copy. No thank you, no sorry for making you come back, and no customer interaction at all. We readily admit the service provided was fast and the price was very fair, hence the reason for 3 stars. The customer service at the shop was much less than expected, and the inconvenience of having to make an additional trip to pick up our vehicle, makes coming back as a repeat customer highly unlikely.
