Almost paid $1200 for new tires that we did not need.
Overall, we have had great service with Hyundai, but the last visit was incredibly disappointing.

We brought our car in for a routine oil change and asked if they could check the right rear tire as it was leaking air. When the service coordinator came back, he told me that the tire was not repairable as the nail they found was too close to the wheel wall to fix, so we would have to replace all four tires (we have an all-wheel drive vehicle). That's over $1200. The service coordinator really pushed for us to buy all four new tires and then set up an appointment to do so at the dealership.

Luckily, we found that the tires were still under warranty, so we decided to go through Tires Plus to have them fixed. Tires Plus checked our tires to see how worn our treads were to see if we would actually have to replace all the tires or if we could get away with just doing one. After checking the levels, we only had to do the one tire. On top of all of this, Tires Plus showed me the tire and noted where the nail was and it was NOWHERE close to the wheel wall and was in fact repairable. They were able to fix it for free and ultimately saved us $1200.

I'm incredibly disappointed with the service at Hyundai and I am thoroughly irritated that my husband and I were lied to and how we almost spent $1200 based off of incorrect information given to us.

Tire pressure
I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. I advised Tony my Tire light was on. He said he'd take care of it. Light was still on when I picked up my car. I questioned Tony about it and he said the light will go off after I drive a few miles. It is Thursday and the light is stiil on. Bottom line is the tires were never checked. I checked them at home and none of the tires had more than 30psi.

My car died on the way to service.. they sent a tow truck, got me a loaner and fixed my car (new battery, alternator/generator) by the next day!!!

Poor scheduling customer interface
Got transferred 3 times when I called to schedule service. I asked to talk to someone in service and was promised someone would call me back-2 days ago and still no call back. I did get an email confirming my apt with the name of a serviceman. I called again asking for him, and got an automated voice mail to leave a message and I would get a callback- a day ago and still no callback.

Buerkle Hyundai Service is Top Notch
Buerkle Hyundai continues to exceed my expectations EVERY time! From the moment I drive my Palisade into the service bay, Buerkle is top notch! After a quick review of my appt details, I asked my outstanding service advisor, Tyler, about paintless dent repair for a couple disappointing dings on my door from a shopping cart. He lined up the Body Shop to take a quick look while it was in Service and they offered to do the PDR in an hour. I hadn’t intended for it to be handled at this service appt but …. I do drive from Owatonna to Buerkle, my service appt was done so quickly, Buerkle Rewards pays a nice perk on PDR …. yeah, that’s a no-brainer!!! Just another example of Buerkle’s outstanding service and going the “extra mile” for their customers! Made my day! Thanks Buerkle!

They are too busy for an oil change!
We just called to have our oil changed and tires rotated per our Hundaes warranty plan, as we are taking a vacation next month and its time for its oil change. The soonest they can get us in for a simple oil change is three weeks!! We said if someone cancels can we come right over, and they said no. So now we have to go to a rapid oil change and get it done there and pay for it rather than have it part of our warranty and i’m sure that’s their plan all along.

Car purchase
We got a response from Chris with specs on a car that the dealership had on their lot. Shopping in our area was tough but Chris got back to us almost immediately when we requested information about cars they had available. We drove 170 miles to visit Chris and the cars he had. We test drove two cars and had the best car buying experience in our lives so far. Chris was wonderful to deal with and was so helpful to make this a great experience for us. We have already recommended him and the dealership to our friends. Thank you to all involved for this great adventure.

Buerkle Hyundai openly DESCRIMINATES against out of state buyers!
they will charge you an additional $2500 if your not a local customer. I confirmed this with the sales person...he says If I lived in the area they would only be charging me $46,450 but since I'm out of state they will charge me an additional $2500, this is not a delivery fee or market adjustment...its solely applied because I'm not a local. SHAME on Buerkle Hyundai, SHAME on Buerkle Hyundai. PLEASE fold and go out of business! ASAP

Engine replacement
Brian the service manager is the reason for the review, he was very informative, contacted me every step of the way. Waited on the manufacturer to send the engine which was frustrating but once they received the parts it was done within a day i think.

DONT BUY A HYUNDAI!!
DONT BUY A HYUNDAI!!! This company doesn't make quality and will not honor warranty. We bought new from Buerkle both a 2006 Santa Fe and a 2013 Elantra. Unfortunately the Elantra engine failed at 98000 miles still under warranty of 120000. Because we could not produce oil change record for oil changes EVERY 3500 miles Hyundai or Buerkle wouldn't repair under warranty. The engine is definitely faulty as per multiple law suits and reports we found on web. We hoped as a loyal customer Buerkle would come through but they offered to fix for $11,000!!! No loyalty No quality No service We NEVER will by Hyundai again

Bad service experience
I went there for an oil change and to get my car fixed for a recall. I waited for close to two hours. I found out later, after I went home, that they had not fixed the recall.
